On September 11, 18 police officers were killed and 5 others were wounded in the Bir al-Abd area in Egypt’s North Sinai when ISIS militants ambushed a large police convoy on the international road between Kantara and Arish.
ISIS used a VBIED and a number of road side bombs to stop the convoy and then engaged police officers in a firefight. 3 ISIS militants were killed in the clashes.
This was the second attack against Egyptian security forces in a row in this area. With these attacks, ISIS likely try to ease the pressure that the terrorist group faces in Rafah, Arish and Shiek Zoued.
The recent attacks also came amid the increased security cooperation between Egypt and the Hamas movement operating in Gaza amed at to boosting security measures on the borders. This secuirty cooperation clearly threatens the ISIS interests in the border area.
Tactics that good? Mista’arvim.
The Egyption military supports a Zio-dictatorship over the Monotheist population of Egypt and is involved in slowly starving to death 3 million Palistanians by denying them food and water and medicine. The Z.O.G. of Egypt needs to crumble from within so that the people of Egypt may breath once more!
