Kiev forces are about to conclude the eighth week of their counteroffensive without making any meaningful gains in any direction.
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on July 29 that several Ukrainian attacks were expelled in the direction of South Donetsk, Krasny Liman and Donetsk.
In the Donetsk direction, the Russian Yug Group of Forces repelled five attacks close to Belogorovka, Avdeevka, Pervomayskoye and Krasnogorovka. The group also targeted gatherings of manpower and equipment close to Vesyoloye, Bogdanovka, Kleshcheevka, Dyleevka and Novgorodskoye.
Ukrainian losses in this direction amounted to 120 troops, three armored fighting vehicles, two motor vehicles and a Msta-B towed howitzer, according to the ministry.
In the South Donetsk and Zaporozhye directions, the Russian Vostok Group of Forces targeted gatherings of Kiev forces close to Zolotaya Niva, Makarovka, Novoandreevka, Shcherbaki and Kamenskoye.
Furthermore, the 36th Combined-Arms Army and Airborne Troops repelled two Ukrainian attacks near Staromayorskoye and Urozhaynoye. During the fighting, Kiev forces lost up to 70 troops, a tank, an infantry fighting vehicle and two pickup trucks.
An ammunition depot of Ukraine’s 44th Artillery Brigade located near Maryanovka was also destroyed by the Vostok Group of Forces.
The ministry said that 135 Ukrainian troops, two tanks, three armored fighting vehicles, two motor vehicles and a D-20 towed howitzer were neutralized in these two directions.
Meanwhile in the Krasny Liman direction, the Russian Tsentr Group of Forces targeted gatherings of Ukraine’s 42nd and 43rd mechanized brigades. The group also repelled two attacks close to Raigorodka as well as in the Serebryansky forest area.
In addition, eight gatherings of manpower and equipment of Kiev forces were targeted close to Novogorovka, Nevskoye and Chervonaya Dibrova, Torskoye and Grigorovka.
Kiev forces lost 170 troops, three armored fighting vehicles, two motor vehicles, an Akatsiya self-propelled howitzer and a D-20 towed howitzer in this direction, according to the ministry.
The situation in other directions, according to the statement of the Russian MoD:
In the Kupyansk direction, the assault detachments of the Zapad Group of Forces continued offensive operations close to Kuzyomovka (Lugansk People’s Republic) and took more favorable positions.
As a result of actions by Army Aviation and artillery, AFU [Armed Forces of Ukraine] units have been hit close to Sinkovka, Timkovka, Berestovoye (Kharkov region), Stelmakhovka (Lugansk People’s Republic).
The enemy losses were up to 20 Ukrainian servicemen, 3 motor vehicles and 1 D-20 howitzer.
In addition, 1 ammunition depot of the AFU 43rd Mechanised Brigade has been destroyed near Druzhelyubovka (Kharkov region).
In the Kherson direction, the enemy losses were up to 20 Ukrainian servicemen, 2 motor vehicles, and 1 D-30 howitzer.
Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have neutralized 97 AFU artillery units at their firing positions, manpower and hardware in 103 areas.
In addition, 1 fuel depot of the Ukrainian grouping of troops ‘Zaporozhye’ has been destroyed close to Zaporozhye.
1 command post of the AFU 47th Mechanised Brigade has been hit near Orekhov (Zaporozhye region).
Air defense units have intercepted 2 S-200 surface-to-air missiles upgraded to attack ground targets, 7 Storm Shadow cruise missiles and 2 HIMARS multiple-launch rocket system projectiles.
In addition, 6 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles have been destroyed close to Verkhnekamenka (Lugansk People’s Republic), Spornoye, Pervomayskoye, and Maryinka (Donetsk People’s Republic), as well as Marfopol (Zaporozhye region).
In total, 457 airplanes, 244 helicopters, 5,314 unmanned aerial vehicles, 427 air defense missile systems, 11,021 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 1,140 fighting vehicles equipped with MLRS, 5,652 field artillery cannons and mortars, as well as 11,951 special military motor vehicles have been destroyed during the special military operation.
It’s worth noting that the Russian military also destroyed a command post of Kiev forces in the Dnepropetrovsk region and thwarted a Ukrainian attack with 12 British-French Storm Shadow air-launched cruise missiles on railways between the Kherson region and the Crimean Peninsula.
A video showing the successful interception of one of the cruise missiles by a Pantsir-S air short-range defense system was shared by Russian news sources.
The sources also shared videos showing a number of destroyed or damaged Ukrainian tanks, armored personnel carriers and infantry fighting vehicles, including several American-made Bradleys.
A photo that surfaced online also show a Swedish-made CV90 armored combat vehicle that was captured from Kiev forces by Russian troops.

Kiev forces intensified their operations in the eighth week of their counteroffensive. However, they sustained heavy human and material losses, failed to make any new gains and even lost some territory. Despite this, the Kiev regime will not likely order more attacks in the upcoming few days.
