Erdogan Says US Is Supporting Terrorists In Syria, Calls For Dialogue With Damascus

On August 19, Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has accused the United States of supporting terrorist groups in war-torn Syria, signaling his country readiness to launch an operation against these groups.

“It is the US and coalition forces that primarily feed terrorism in Syria. They did it brutally and they still do it. They did not get tired of it, and they also made the same feeding in Iraq. To whom? Again to terrorist organizations. If there is unrest in Iraq today, unfortunately, America lies behind it,” Erdogan told reporters on board the presidential plane following a one-day working visit to Ukraine.

Erdogan was likely referring to Kurdish forces in northern and northeastern Syria, which are led by the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). Ankara consider the umbrella group a branch of the terrorist-designated Kurdistan Workers’ Party.

The Turkish president went on to stress that Ankara is not eyeing any part of Syria and respects the integrity of its territory.

“We do not have eyes on the territory of Syria because the people of Syria are our brothers. We have no such problem there. The integrity of their territory is important to us. The regime must be aware of this,” he said.

Erdogan also called for dialogue with Damascus, affirming that Turkey is in contact with Russia on every step it takes in Syria.

“We need to know and accept this for once. Political dialogue or diplomacy between states can never be cut off. There are always these kinds of dialogues, there should be,” the president said. “We need to secure further steps with Syria. Through these steps, I hope we will disrupt many games in the whole region, in this region of the Islamic world with our neighbors.”

Erdogan’s’ remarks came just three days after a series of Turkish airstrikes on northeastern Syria that claimed the lives of four soldiers of the Damascus government. The airstrikes were a response to an attack by the SDF that killed two Turkish soldiers.

Despite recent developments in norther and northeastern Syria, Russia has been reportedly making effort to reconcile Damascus and Ankara. Bothe Erdogan and his Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu called for rapprochement with the Damascus government earlier this month.

Turkey has been the main military backer of Syrian rebels since the outbreak of the war in the country more than 11 years ago.

Erdogan’s interest in reconciliation with Damascus before the Turkish elections next year is not only fuel by the growing threat of Kurdish forces, but also by the issue of Syrian refugees in Turkey. Many Turkish voters believe that talks with Damascus is the answer to both problems.

America is the errand boy for Israel. And ISIS is allied with Israel, never hitting anything of Israels and always attacking Israels enemies. If you haven’t caught onto that by now, consider yourself a retard.

The Objective

A long overdue process. The ball is now in Assad’s court. If he sticks to his maximalist demand (not making concessions to the opposition) Erdogan simply cannot pull out of Syria even if he wants to. He vowed not to send Syrians back into Assad’s hands. Erdogan is a man of his words, says Vladimir Putin.

What foxes me is how Russia is going to react to all this. Putin and Erdogan want an end to the Syrian war. They are exhausted of the constant back and forth. Ending the Syrian war will be a big relief for both Erdogan and Putin. It’ll also resolve a major bone of contention between them. Considering the pace of the Ukraine war, reducing tensions between Russia and Turkey should be a welcome development for Putin.

So, I’m predicting two things will happen: 1) Putin pushes Assad to make significant concessions to the opposition, giving Erdogan a way to send Syrian refugees back without breaking his promise. In this scenario, Turkey withdraws from some parts of Syria, except the Kurdish dominated parts. If Russia guarantees a complete dismantling of the SDF, a full Turkish withdrawal is likely. This would be the worst option for America, the real trouble maker in Syria. All four countries (Iran, Turkey, Russia, Syria) will now face America and its Kurdish project in Syria.

2) Assad continues to drag his feet on making concessions to the opposition. In this case, Erdogan won’t be able to send Syrian refugees back without breaking his promise. But he’ll pretend to be working on sending them back and actually send some refugees back – perhaps like 1 million people. This will allow Erdogan to claim that the process is ongoing and will be completed. But note: Turkish forces remain in Syria. As soon as Erdogan wins, the return of Syrian refugees will be suspended and Turkish forces will remain in Syria.

Assad can choose either of the two scenarios. I can’t envision a third option.

I wonder to what ‘regime’ Mr Erdogan is referring. Does he mean the regime in Idlib? He cannot mean the admin in Damascus because that admin was created by the people. It was also done with more voter support that Mr Erdogan has ever managed to acquire in his homeland. Perhaps its jealousy? Perhaps Erdogan is still under nato contract to call all nato targets ‘regimes’.

Erdogan talks peace yet his army is still killing Syrian soldiers. It seems the PKK had their chance and have now blown that chance with Damascus too. The only admin in the area to treat them well. Politics, is a funny old business.

Assad Defeated Zionists

One needs to be a dum fack to not have realized this right from the get go. The politicians and the military top brass are filthy, treasonous psionist slaves who are willing to wage wars of agression, commit war crimes and even aid and abet Sunni-Wajabbi terrorists just to please the AIPAC masters.

Syria AND UKRAINE. Recep, don’t forget Ukraine.

USA are the biggest sponsorship for terrorism since at least the ’80s, because after their failed wars in Korea and Vietnam, they could not take action in first person anymore.

That’s why they have no friend but only servants, and that’s why I hate them with all my heart.

No offense but Fuck that guy. Erdogan’s the terrorist, as are many to most heads of state. In fact, terrorism only (always) applies to State action. States conduct terror against civilian populations. Lone-wolfs commit crimes, radical groups conduct resistance, so do reactionary brown-shirts and insurgents. If their actions rise to the level of rebellions and insurrections, they are still not terrorists.

The reason why is that rebels and insurgents don’t target civilians, their enemies are the State and their henchmen. This was all known for at least 2,000 years, if not longer. Then, all of sudden, in 2001 they didn’t like the definition of the word and changed it, more hoodwinked a gullible, dumbed-down population.
