The Armed Forces of the federal governnment of Ethiopia have been developing their advance on the capital of the rebel province of Tigray:
- As of November 19, government forces continue using warplanes to support its advance in Tigray, including striking Mekelle;
- On November 18, government forces reportedly captured Korem and Aksum north of Alamata city;
- On November 18, Ethiopian police arrested 287 individuals, military generals and officers suspected of having links with the TPLF (Tigray People’s Liberation Front);
- On November 18, government forces entered Shire town. However, as of November 19, pro-TPLF sources claim that the town is contested.
If the ENDF has got as far as Shire then the TPLF’s vaunted military isn’t doing so well, is it?
