The European Union is set to extend the sanctions against Russia untill late January 2017, the Russian state-funded news agency Sputniknews reported on June 20, citing a source in the European Union Council.
According to the report the formal deicision will be made at the EU leaders summit on June 28-29.
We remember, the EU economic sanctions against Russia over its “involvement in the crisis in Ukraine” are due to expire in July, however, there are no doubts that they will be extended further.
