AlMasdarNews reports: Hama, Syria (5:00 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army’s 47th Regiment of the 11th Tank Division, backed by the National Defense Forces (NDF), launched a counter-attack in the northern Hama countryside on Tuesday, targeting the jihadist-controlled villages of Ma’ardes and Taybat Al-Imam.
According to a military source in the Hama Governorate, the Syrian Armed Forces managed to clear much of the Kawkab area, while also advancing on Ma’ardes village from the southeastern flank.
Video footage of this advance was captured below by local journalists embedded with the Syrian Armed Forces:
The Syrian Armed Forces still have a long way to go before they can recover all of the points they lost to Jund Al-Aqsa and their allies in northern Hama; however, they have successfully forestalled any advance by the aforementioned jihadists.
