President of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Samvel Shahramanyan signed a decree according to which the unrecognized republic will cease to exist on January 1, 2024. The residents of Nagorno-Karabakh face a pivotal choice: either to accept Azerbaijan’s terms of reintegration or to relocate to Armenia or other countries.
Accordance to Shahramanyan’s decision, all state institutions and organizations within the unrecognized republic are set to be dissolved by January 1, 2024. Azerbaijani authorities ensure favorable conditions for the reintegration of the Armenian population of Nagorno-Karabakh. However, a significant part of the local population did not believe the Baku officials. To date, tens of thousands of Karabakh Armenians are already seeking refuge in neighboring Armenia, which refused to defend them in battles. The exodus is driven by fears of potential ethnic cleansing which could break out on unofficial level amid the national tensions.
The Armenian authorities reported that about 65 thousand Armenians have already left Karabakh for Armenia, which is about half of the population of the unrecognised republic.
The Nagorno-Karabakh Republic was officially declared on September 2, 1991. Its thirty-two years long history ended by short but bloody battle. 192 people were killed and 511 wounded among Azerbaijani servicemen during the “anti-terrorist operation”, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Health reported. Among the civilians, one person was killed and another was injured. In Nagorno-Karabakh, 200 people were dead and 400 others were wounded. Russian peacekeepers also suffered losses.

porque a armênia doou território para o faminto azerbaijão? a armênia já tem pouco território e o atual presidente é um fraco. armênia assinou sua rendição.
oh my dear god. pashinian you’ll be punished for this vicious crime.
nikol paschinjan is a clown puppet, the actual decisions were made in washington and ankara.
dont forget telaviv israel gave aliyev harop drones.
russia also allowed this to happen they didnt help armenia to incorperate artsakh when it was still part of armenia. they should have recognized it and armenia shohld have developed and fortified it. phasinian is an idiot hes going to loose the suynik province to azerbijan soon too.
what armenia needs is proper means to defend its self. modern miliiary hardware training fortifications and reliable allies. russia didnt help them as they should have. but phashinyan also betrayed the russian relations unlike his predicessor.
armenia needs to get rid of globalist traitors, just as all other countries from russian western borders to the atlantic coast need to do.
why the f should russia sacrifice men for artsakh if armeina itself is not ready to do that? armenia wanted “independence” and they got it.
it was never part of armenia as armenian government never bothered to incorporate karabah into armenia. this is fault of yerevan, not moscow, especially after pashinian the puppet decided to play war games along yanks.
well, that’s that for that. the question now, is armenia still licking that nato lollipop?
big time, still.
ethnic cleansing. where is the outrage in washington?
what for, outrage comes when “ethnic cleansing” is done by their enemies, not themselves. outrage is that washington exists at all.
s.f one-sided propaganda again there is no such a republic called nagorno karabakg. they were armenian invader.. that committed ethnic cleansing azerbaijani of people…
cale a boca!
up yours kiro amcik
this is good news because we don’t trust christians. they will likely ally with azerbaijan’s enemies in any future war. their leaving the region is the best outcome for azerbaijan.
