The families of Syrian mercenaries who went missing while fighting alongside Azerbaijani forces in the dispute region of Nagorno-Karabakh have sent a letter to Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan calling on him to help reveal the fate of their sons, the Step News Agency reported on November 5.
In the letter, the families describe how the Suleyman Shah Brigade, a Turkish-backed faction, recruited their sons, who were recently displaced to northern Syria and were in need for money.
“Abu Amsha, leader of the Sultan Suleyman Shah Brigade, welcomed us, taking advantage of our poverty and bad situation to recruit our sons into his ranks and sent them to fight in Azerbaijan under the worst conditions,” the families said in the letter, which also addressed the National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces, the Syrian Interim Government and the Syrian National Army.
According to the families, some of their sons, who were sent to fight for Azerbaijan didn’t receive any real military training.
The families said Abu Amsha, whose real name is Mohamad Jasim, has been hiding the fate of their sons for more than a month now. The families called on President Erdogan to hold Abu Amsha accountable.
“We hope that our call will reach Mr. Erdogan and all Turkish officials so that they could help us and pressure so-called Abu Amsha to reveal the fate of our sons,” the letter reads.
Abu Amsha, one of the most notorious Turkish-backed leaders in northern Syria, has a long record of crimes and human rights violations. Two years ago he was accused of raping the wife of one of his fighters.
While Abu Amsha is indeed responsible for recruiting Syrian mercenaries and sending them to Azerbaijan and to Libya before, he is for sure not the “decision maker” on this matter. Perpetrators like him act upon the commands of the Turkish military and intelligence.
A recent report by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights revealed that over 2,000 Syrians were currently fighting for Azerbaijan in Nagorno-Karabakh. So far, more than 230 have been killed by Armenian forces.
According to several reports, Syrian mercenaries were sent to Azerbaijan through Turkey’s territory and airports. This confirms Ankara direct involvement in the affair.
I would think that Erdos missing soldiers of little or no fortune are resting in unmarked graves in Nagorno-Karabakh. To bring the dead home to thair families would be an embarrassment for the Turks.

Calling on Erdogan? Well if by chance he miraculously happens to respond, I hope they call on him to withdraw his troops & expansion plans from Syria.

The Syrian mothers of the Sham Legion fighters don’t have to ask Erdogan what happened to their son’s, the Russians showed them what happened to them when they bombed the Sham Legion fighters in Idlib [more than a hundred this month], and the same thing probably happened to them in Libya courtesy of Russian backed opposition forces, and now in Azerbaijan the story’s repeating again. The Sham Legion is turning out to be nothing but a sham, the 18,000 fighters sent to libya and 2,000 sent to Azerbaijan are doing more than just pissing off the Russians, they’re making them violently froth at the mouth, and they’re steadily fracturing the already shaky relationship Erdogan has with Putin to a breaking point. :] I find it so amusing, Putin tries so hard to formulate a relationship with Erdogan but he happily bombs Muslim Brotherhood fighters in Syria, and in Libya and Azerbaijan he lets proxy forces do it with Russian supplied weapons, but Erdogan is the leader of the Muslim Brotherhood so how does that work out. Putin’s trying to do deals with the leader of the people he’s fighting in 2 areas and soon possibly a third area, so that’s not going to end well for someone. Erdogan keeps trying to distance himself from the Muslim Brotherhood but I don’t know why he bothers, not when most of the high ranking Brotherhood politicians keep saying the Brotherhood will be the saviour of the Islamic world and Turkey will be the head of the new Caliphate, that’s just way too much of a give away.

The simple truth is that your sons were attending an unjust war agains peaceloving armenians in the small region of Karabakh.
Those Karabakh armenians are mainly elderly men and youg teenagers whom are defending their country while the adults are abroad trying to earn some funds to support their poor families.
Despite your sons having access to unlimited ultramodern weapons supplied by facist turks and fraudulent israelis, your sons were not a match to these freedom fighters from Karabakh whom fullfilled your sons highest wishes, namely joining their allah and having sex with 70 virgins negro men with huge cocks.
