On February 8, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) released the first photos of Syrian Arab Army (SAA) troops inside the town of al-Eis and on its hilltop.
The SAA liberated the town and its hilltop a few hours ago after advancing toward them from the northern and western directions.

The army’s 25th Special Forces Division, which advanced from the west, met with the Republican Guard, Lebanese Hezbollah and Iranian-backed forces, which reached al-Eis from the northern direction.
From al-Eis’ hilltop, which rises 365m above sea level, the SAA imposed fire control of a long strip of the M5 highway. The strategic road links the capital, Damascus, with Aleppo city, the country’s industrial hub.
The SAA is now advancing along the M5 highway. Several positions north and south of the road have been already secured by the army.
Yessss! Syria will soon be Assad’s. Negotiations for HTS’ and other militant group’s surrender is imminent. Once Idlib falls to Assad the US will be isolated in Syria and forced to leave. Once the US leaves negotiations between Assad and the SDF can begin. The war is almost over!
I would hope so. But i guess it will take some years still. At least when you consider that the Turks will be the bigger problem. US will have to move out of Iraq sooner or later. and then the have to leave Syria if the want or not. But the Turks are a people that never give anything back they stole. Only by force. And with the Donald and Erdo being buddies again, i fear the worst.

However, SAA must invest in Kevlar body armor for all its troops. I have been looking at casualty figures and over 70% of Syrian and allied militia casualties are from small arms and fragmentation weaponry and could have been avoided if they had proper body protection, especially torso where 80% of fatalities occur based on stats from all major post WW2 conflicts and experience from first generation heavy metal plate and ceramic armor used in Korea, Vietnam to the light-weight Kevlar introduced in 1990’s onwards.
