Ukrainian reconnaissance UAV spotted the new Russian 2S43 Malva self-propelled gun in the Kharkiv region. This is the first recorded case of deployment of this rare Russian artillery installation on the Ukrainian frontlines.
2S43 Malva was developed by the Central Research Institute Burevestnik. The howitzer was presented in 2019 in closed mode. The 152-mm 2A64 cannon is reportedly the firing component of the Malva systems. It can carry 30 rounds of ammunition. The weight of the complex is about 32 tons. The howitzer is mounted on BAZ-6010-027 all-terrain vehicle.
The newest wheeled 152-mm self-propelled artillery 2S43 Malva completed tests last year. The contract for the supply of Malva self-propelled guns to the Russian troops was signed in August 2023.
These systems were reportedly first deployed in Ukraine in February 2024. Last year, Malva took part in experimental combat operations on the territory of Ukraine and it proved its high efficiency and confirmed its characteristics. It is not clear if the spotted system was part of the deployed experimental batch deployed in Ukraine or the Russian military began to use the new systems en masse.
nazis are fuked, and there is nothing the us, uk and germany can do to stop it. and zelensky is not the president anymore. z!
yes, lots stuck in chasov yar getting decimated and seeing their end in that incinerator!
happy hunting with that gun…
same gun as “msta-b” and “msta-s” have. good, but 2a88 gun would be better for denazification.
for the destruction of the nato vermin, only a really fat nuclear bomb is used ☢ 💣
lol, overkill on the chassis, the truck needs to be half that size. for only 30 rounds? they essentially need to build disposal chasses because they are going to get blown up quickly. all that excess, not required. the gun also needs to be simple and in effect bomb proof so when its blown up you can pick it up and put it on another simple chassis. you could easily mount that on a much smaller truck. i guess both sides have money to burn.
stop talking garbage fool. ur a heavy weapons engineer specialist with 40 years of design and research expertise?
fk off clown…
“the gun also needs to be simple and in effect bomb proof so when its blown up you can pick it up and put it on another simple chassis”
probably one of the dumbest couch potato ideas ever conceived…
laughable stupidity…
btw, since ur an expert in heavy weapons design, specifically artillery systems, i never knew suicide drones target artillery gun barrels…
shaped charge design has apparently been developed in small drone technology for that specific purpose…
without citing specific sources?
fk off clown show…
leave it to the experts, idiot. they worked years in the highest level of education.
what do you think the rear two axles carrying the cannon is, if not a modular chassis attached to the cab?
it’s the same chassis used for s-400. kazahs tried to install a gun on lighter chassis (kamaz 8×8), but recoil ruins suspension with every shot. so you need something more sturdy and even more off-road capable, because you can easily find videos of tanks stuck in donbas soil. baz “voschina” is better than any truck, there is video of tests in different climate zones (arctic, desert, swamp, mountain), baz climbed to 4000m on elbrus faster than 4×4 suv and other trucks.
rotten potatoe is good for the anuz but in the rear of azov better
wish we could get more specks on the system. looks like a hell of a siege gun.
can someone tell me where i can put in a order for, owe id say, 15 of them with guns that can fire from ranges as far back as 48 km or more. i like my long range artillery well in the rear from the front lines. let off 2 to 9 rounds then scurry to the next fire postion. that way their also well within air defenses and anti drone cover.
should be protected by autonomous anti drone mounted on it. in fact since the war scene has changed since ww2, it should be mounted on all moving.
the caesar gun has 40-50km range and ukraine have 60-70 of these guns. one caesar cost 4.5 millions dollars. the malva has only 24 km range….so it has to be very cheap to produce or a high precision weapon. the malva needs anti drone system and air support to be protected.
it’s not good that ukrainian reconiscence can just get to it. also the 4 people outside make me think it’s a blood sweat and tears machine, opposed to a fast and automated design. it needs a upgrade already.
if it was not iranian drones russia would have surrender by now.shameles putin who deny iran outdate s300 systems in 2003.still russia russian nuclear silos, and nuclear missiles are vulnerable.because of putin inaction in tactical nuclear responds.britain delivered depleted uranium and soldiers.
like it or not zelenski attend high level corution meetins just as namibia pumba who is no longer a president after 3month term expired after former corupt presidents death, britain control namibiadiamonds for ukraine war
