Warsaw – Five Polish sailors (four of them are officers), were kidnapped from a Polish freighter in the Nigerian waters, while the remaining 11 members of the crew are barricaded inside the ship, according to the Polish government.
Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs Witold Waszczykowski said that five of them were abducted last night from the Polish ship “Sapphire”, which traveled from Belgium to Nigeria. Head of Polish diplomacy said that they will open negotiations with the kidnappers.
