Five militants from the Syrian province of Idlib were killed while fighting for the Government of National Accord (GNA) in Libya, Syria’s Eldorar reported on March 19.
The pro-opposition outlet identified the slain militants as Adi Qala’, Ali al-Essa, Muhammad al-Kharafan, Ahmed al-Qarda and Muhammad Ramadan. The five militants are all from the town of Salqin in northwest Idlib.
The militants were reportedly killed during clashes with the Libyan National Army (LNA) around the Libyan capital of Tripoli.
With the death of these five militants, the total number of Syrian militants who were killed in Libya has risen to 129. Turkey deployed more than 4,750 Syrian militants in Libya to support the GNA over the last few months.
According to a recent report by the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), Ankara is now lowering the salaries of Syrian militants in Libya. The first batches of militants received up to $2,000 a month for fighting among GNA forces.
Turkey’s support has allowed GNA forces to hold onto their remaining positions around Tripoli. However, the LNA is apparently inflicting heavy losses on government forces.
129 dead headchopper Orcs out of 4750 deployed is still only 2,7% KIA. Kinda about equal to the Mexican beer virus.
In reality the dead scums is much who is saying 129 sohr a pro opposition wahhabi outlet scum.
the death of a syrian militant counts as 10, its a bonus. well done , keep up the good work.
