Now, the advance in Sheikh Lufti has strategical implication on the military situation in Aleppo city. With the recent success in northeastern Aleppo (more here), the army and its allies are able to pose another threat to Jaish al-Fatah militant operation room – to push from Sheikh Lufti and to reach the Aleppo Citadel, splitting the eastern Aleppo pocket into several separated parts.
