For Second Day In Row: Houthis Target Saudi-led Coalition Troops In Western Yemen With New “Ballistic” Missile

On June 30, the Yemeni Missiles Force [loyal to the Houthis] announced that it had launched a new short range “ballistic missile” at a gathering of Saudi-led coalition troops on the western coast of Yemen. A day earlier, coalition forcers were targeted with a missile of the very same type.

The Saudi-led coalition has not commented on both missile strikes yet. Furthermore, no hits or interceptions have been reported by any Yemeni source.

The Yemeni al-Masirah TV reported that the Yemeni Missile Force will reveal the new short range “ballistic missile” in the upcoming days. According to the pro-Houthis TV channel, the new missile was developed with “pure Yemeni experiences.”

On March 22, the Yemeni Missile Forces revealed a “short range ballistic missile” named Bader-1. Later experts determined that the Badr-1 is a copy of the Iranian Fajr-3 artillery rocket as both rockets appear to have similar diameter and length.

The new Yemeni “ballistic missile” may be an upgraded variety of Badr-1 with a heaver warhead and a shorter range – Badr-1 range is over 40km – or even a copy of the more modern Iranian Fajr-5 artillery rocket.

A copy or homegrown….. who cares as long as it gets the job done

Saudis and UAEs cannot impose their puppet on Yemen nation.

Empire's Frontiers

Another positive component to this news, there’s no way to aim a short range missile north of Yemen and miss.

Hello Admin, there is a problem with this site. I have just installed a business level Deep Packet Inspection product with duel fire wall and a host of other business level security features in my home for better security. Anyway as I just started my PC, and opened my browser. The first and (only) site I have just opened is this site SouthFront. Upon opening it I got a warning that this site is running in the background a process at -(http://counter.yadro.ru)- that is categorized as Spyware and Adware I was wondering is this deliberate? Or is it from some advertisement? Or is this some intelligence agency trying to gather information about all visitors? I just wanted to share this information to help inform those who run this site as I care about security for everyone.

http://counter.yadro.ru

I searched Microsoft website about threats, and this link came up. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/protect/forum/protect_other-protect_scanning-windows_8/what-is-counter-yadro/3b7a3384-6eba-4225-ac6f-54f58e837bdd And here is some of what they said about this… – “This is not a browser redirect virus. It’s infected to web servers and occasionally infected domains will be redirected to this domain counter.yadro.ru by injecting parasite code (Java script/Php etc etc). Does not seem to be a local pc infection.”

You can do nothing on it since its in a remote web server that is redirected.

counter.yadro.ru is a redirect adware that can take over the home page or new tab of affected browser program. Having this on the computer only denotes that adware may have gain control on the computer. This browser hijacking thing aims to replace your search engine with its own due to ads display in their search results. It is an income generating scheme that annoys most computer users who are experiencing it. For that reason, many people dubbed counter.yadro.ru as part of virus attack.

In general, counter.yadro.ru is not a virus. Most adware programs acts or have virus-like traits especially when aiming to get a spot on the computer. Once it is inside, it can perform certain changes but it doesn’t destroy files neither spread onto other computers. Adware or browser redirect such as counter.yadro.ru aims only on issuing ads that try to generate online revenue.

Normal sources of counter.yadro.ru are freeware, malicious links, and fake software update. Whichever sources, the effect of this browser hijacker is likely bothersome to all victims. It hijacks the home page and replaces default settings with an unknown page. Search engine is also altered so that victims are force to utilize counter.yadro.ru. Browser redirect and pop-up ads may also see on affected browser from time-to-time.

Even though counter.yadro.ru is not as harmful as viruses or malware, we still recommend removing this thing from the computer. It can still bring some security risks that may lead to further damage in the future.

This is exactly the type of weapon the Houthis need. They need to be able to fire at the coalition forces on the narrow coastline from a safe distance to avoid air strikes.
