On September 19th, the Supreme Court of the Luhansk People’s Republic sentenced former employees of the OSCE mission in the Republic to 13 years in prison. Two employees of the OSCE mission in Luhansk were detained on cases of treason in July, 2022.

Dmitry Shabanov was found guilty of high treason. He was a security assistant at the Stakhanov patrol base of the mission and passed on secret military data to representatives of foreign intelligence services.

According to the Luhansk Ministry of State Security, Shabanov was recruited by the “CIA resident in Ukraine” Andrei Lukashenko, a former employee of the Security Service of Ukraine, in April 2016. Then, Shabanov underwent “special training in the USA” and came back to the LPR. From August 2021 to April 2022, he collected data on the movements of military equipment, weapons and military units of the People’s Militia of the LPR.

The second detainee is Maxim Petrov. He worked as an interpreter of the OSCE mission in the LPR. He was also found guilty of high treason and was sentenced to 13 years in prison.

The press service of the Ministry of State Security of the LPR reported that Maxim Petrov prepared and handed over data constituting a state secret regarding the 2nd Army Corps of the People’s Militia of the LPR to his “American curator from the intelligence department of the US Department of Defense”. Maxim Petrov pried the information out of the servicemen of the People’s Militia of the LPR and obtained data during the monitoring operations and regular patrolling of the line of contact as part of the OSCE mission.

The organization has been operating in Ukraine since June 1, 1999. On March 21, 2014, at the request of the Ukrainian authorities, the OSCE Apecial Monitoring Mission (SMM) was created, which was supposed to “objectively monitor the situation” in the country, make reports on it and promote dialogue between the parties. The SMM’s mandate expired on March 31, 2022.

At the end of February 2022, the leadership of the organization decided to evacuate the specialists from the country, as well as from the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics. Most of the mission members left the region by February 28, but the evacuation was completed only on March 8.

At the end of April, the LPR authorities banned the work of the OSCE monitoring mission in the republic. The head of the LPR Leonid Pasechnik accused the mission’s observers of a negative image of Russia and the Donbass republics in Europe, and ignoring numerous violations of the Minsk agreements in their reports. LINK

The OSCE mission in the Donbass failed to complete its duties. It did not support the implementation of the Minsk agreements in the war-toen region and tacitly supported attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the local civilians. At the same time, OSCE specialists were actively used by the US and Ukrainian special services to obtain any needed information. The OSCE mission was also accused of military supporting the Ukrainian and NTO special services. LINK

Putting them in prison is just the kind of news the west needs to portray the donbas governments as bandits and terrorists like urkaine is allways speaking about them.

The russians have missed the chance to dismantel these organisations when the where spying in yugoslavia when they were impartianl.

Since they accepted that all those washington controled ngo’s are legitimate and neutral until they turned against russia, it is now to late for russia to challange their credebility in the world. Cause now everyone will just the that the criminal is acusing the police to be corrupt.

China, India and Turkey should challenge the legitimacy of every ngo as they are seen as neutral in the actual conflict. If they wait till the US uses the ngo’s against one of them it will be too late as well.

The OSCE was never objective. It was on the side of Ukraine from the beginning. I know this from having communicated personally with the head of the OSCE in July 2014. I had sent him a copy of a proposed Donbass Peace Agreement which, as it turned out later, was similar in spirit to the Minsk Agreements. I received a terse email in reply telling me that the OSCE was not interested in any peace agreements except the one written by the tyrannical Ukraine President Petro Poroshenko—an agreement dictating total subjugation to the coup regime in Kiev of the people of Donetsk and Lugansk.
