The police fired tear gas as the refugees kept attacking with stones and three temporary shelters were set on fire.
It is reported that the French government has started uprooting a refugee camp with bulldozers on the border of the country’s northern port city of Calais.
On Monday, two bulldozers and around 20 workers on a presence of 30 police cars and two anti-riot vans started to destroy the camp, the report says.
“We are carrying out our orders so that the refugees leave the camp and we will continue this work this morning,” said Fabienne Buccio, a top official in France’s Calais region.
It is also reported that the police fired tear gas as the refugees kept attacking with stones and three temporary shelters were set on fire.
The Jungle camp of Calais in northern France houses some 3,000 refugees who hope to reach berlin.
Already, the Europe is facing an unprecedented influx of refugees who fled from the war zones in Africa and the Middle East, particularly Syria.
Although, there is a strong accusation against the west of fostering terrorism in the Middle East, which is being considered as the main reason behind the departure of refugees from their home countries.
