On February 7, Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), the Turkistan Islamic Party (TIP) and several Free Syrian Army (FSA) groups launched a new attack at positions of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) southwest of the Abu Duhur airbase in the southeastern Idlib countryside.
Syrian opposition sources reported that HTS and its allies had captured the village of Ajjaz, 17km southwest of the Abu Duhur airbase. However, this claim is not yet confirmed.
The SAA is currently repelling HTS attack on its positions in the southeastern Idlib countryside, according to Syrian pro-government sources. Syrian opposition activists also confirmed that several warplanes of the Russian Aerospace Forces are currently targeting HTS’ fighters and vehicles in southeastern Idlib.
This is the second counter attack of HTS and its allies since the SAA and the Tiger Forces halted their military operations in Idlib governorate on February 4. The radical groups managed to recapture the village of Tell Sultan southwest of the Abu Duhur airbase on February 5 during the its first attack.
Experts believe that the Tiger Forces will resume their military operations in Idlib governorate against HTS as soon as they eliminate ISIS pocket in the northeastern Hama countryside.

The SAA temporarily halted their operations in Idlib to clean out another nest of terrorists behind their lines but control the high ground as we read from this overly pessimistic account.

You forgot the TIP which are mostly Uighur fighters as these groups are mostly foreigners can’t see hardly any Syrians.
The TRUE situation is this: Russia is at the mercy of Turkey because Turkey controls the Bosphorus straits from the Black Sea into the Mediterranian. So even if Turkey shot down a Russian aircraft, Russia’s hands are tied and it has to run the false narrative that a terrorist MANPAD shot down its aircraft not Turkeys Anti-Aircraft Complex illegally stationed on Syrian sovereign land. Russia had also to hand all of Eastern Syria behind the Euphrates to the US as a bargaining chip for Donbas in Southern Ukraine. But of course this will not appease the Americans who will still attack the ethnic Russian Ukrainians in the Donbass most probably in March. The Syrian government and Iran want to liberate all of Syria from the Zio/NAZI foreign colonialist and imperialist invasion and occupation forces and their proxies.
