French mercenaries, including servicemen of the French Ministry of the Armed Forces, are already deployed in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but they are afraid to take part in battles, the co-chairman of the Coordinating Council for the Integration of New Regions of the Russian Federation Vladimir Rogov reported.
According to the Russian politician in the Zaporozhie region, a large number of foreign mercenaries are deployed in the Zaporozhye and Kupyansk directions. The foreign militants mainly include citizens of France, Germany, Poland, Bulgaria and the Czech Republic.
The French are also deployed in the Zaporozhye region, including in the ranks of the Ukrainian foreign legion, but the French are not taking an active part in hostilities and they are “really afraid to fight the Russians on the front line”, so they perform command functions in the rear areas. The French fighters include not only soldiers of fortune, but French military personnel who have formally “retired” or “went on vacation”.
The Ukrainian military is trying to ensure the safety of the French militants, keeping them in the rear bases, while Ukrainian men are thrown into a meat grinder.
