In late February, the Ukrainian military command transferred special forces of the neo-nazi Kraken unit to the Kherson region; but amid the Ukrainian defeats, they did not take active part in hostilities and reportedly already left their positions.
The Kraken Special Forces is a Ukrainian separate reconnaissance and sabotage unit of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The special unit was created in March 2022 in Kharkiv and included highly-motivated veterans of the AZOV neo-Nazi regiment, officers of the Main Intelligence Directorate, ultras and other neo-Nazi militants.

The unit was previously spotted fighting on the northern Donbass frontlines; but in late February, the special forces were deployed on the western bank of the Dnieper river in the Kherson region. In the very first days, the unit suffered losses as a result of Russian strikes.
The situation of the Ukrainian military in the Kherson region has worsened amid the failure of all offensive operations across the Dnieper River, which resulted in heavy losses. The highly motivated trained fighters of Kraken were likely aimed to launch new assaults on the Russian eastern coast in order to disrupt the Russian garrison and achieve at least some victories.
Fighters of the Kraken unit were spotted in Stanislav and Ochakov in the Dnieper–Bug estuary preparing for attacks on the Russian coast.
On February 29, the 73rd Marine Special Operations Center (A1594) attempted a landing operation on the Tendrov Spit which is under the control of the Russian military. LINK The operation failed and resulted in deaths of 25 Ukrainian servicemen. One of Ukrainians survived the battle and was captured prisoner. (Watch his testimonies on pow.southfront.press) The risky attack was mainly aimed to gain some hype in the MSM and declare another victory, but turned into another defeat of the Ukrainian special forces trained by the British military.
The defeat threatened the notorious Kraken unit. According to the recent reports from the front, Ukrainian fighters of the special unit fled from the southern coast in the Kherson region. After Kraken fighters left Stanislav and Ochakov, the Russian military is ready to welcome them on the battlefields in any other direction.

although the story states that the purpose was to get a media hype, i still don’t understand the significance of the attack even if it would be successful. it was a complete suicide mission from the start. as if the ukrainian leadership (usa) is trying to kill all the azov and kraken neo-nazis themselves.
the answer is that some ops are a success and some are not. whatever “success” means in this case. the bottomline is that everything ukraine has ever done, and will do, is irrelevant. they do what they do because they are slaves/npcs/bots and will always be an easy target for manipulation. no different from let’s say a chicken, or a dog. and chickens and dogs are expendable to the manipulators, so it does not matter how many of them die.
mind you the same applies to westerners also.
in ww2 these kind of ops were often about dropping off or collecting information, equipment or personnel relating to undercover agents working behind the lines, or beach recces to check out potential landing sites. even those involved might not know the true purpose. that might be overestimating ukro planning though.
