The Hamas Movement and other Palestinian armed factions in the Gaza Strip ramped up attacks against the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) on December 3.

The military wing of the Hamas, Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, said that its fighters hit 12 vehicles of the IDF, including five main battle tanks, an armored personnel carrier and a bulldozer, with rocket-propelled grenades and explosive devices.

The vehicles were targeted in Jabalia and Beit Lahia in northern Gaza, Deir al Balah in the central region and Khan Yunis in the southern part of the Strip.

Hamas fighters also attacked an Israeli special operations force that was situated in a building in Beit Hanoun, blew up a booby-trapped after it was approached by IDF troops in Beit Lahia and detonated mines against a force made up of eight soldiers near Khan Yunis.

From its side, the al-Qdus Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, said that its fighters blew up an IDF tank with a heavy explosive device near Mughraqa in northern Gaza.

Several rocket attacks also targeted IDF gatherings and settlements near Gaza. However, there were no reports of causalities or damage.

The IDF is currently preparing to expand ground operations in Gaza. Intense strikes hit the Strip in the last two days. The Director General of the Government Media Office in Gaza told Al Jazeera that more than 700 Palestinians have been killed since Israel resumed bombardment after a seven-day ceasefire ended on December 1.

In addition to the heavy bombardment, the IDF ordered Palestinians to evacuate several areas in northern and southern Gaza.

The war in Gaza is about to enter a more violent phase. A day earlier, Israel withdrew its negotiators from Qatar and Hamas officials said that none of the remaining hostages in the Strip would be released before the end of the war. An agreement to renew the ceasefire seems highly unlikely.

we have already seen how the isreali apartheid regime treats isreali hostages it is trying to ‘free’. the american neocons used to call it collateral damage. isreali hostages are being sacrificed to aid the ethnic cleansing and reinforce the victimhood of the chosen ones. the people of isreali should have removed netty when they had the chance. all regimes begin with a power grab.
