The ‘general winter’ has came to the government-held Tyas Airbase in the Syrian province of Homs. The weather and active actions of the Syrian army have pushed ISIS to halt major-scale offensive operations in the area.
Now, both sides have taken time to re-group and prepare for operations in the changed weather conditions. However, it looks that ISIS will not be able to gain again initiative in operations west of Palmyra.

winter is Russia’s best friend
Wherever Russia goes, they bring Winter with them! XD
bullshit
Ask the Germans as they approached Moscow in December, and Napoleon as he was withdrawing from Moscow in late fall.
Hopefully it will be a friend of the SAA too
T14s need winter condition testing!
Are T-14s deployed in Syria?!
They aren’t deployed anywhere.
That’s what I thought.
“T14s need winter condition testing!” Learn to read what you see, not what you think!
I had no idea it could snow there. Or is it Captagon?
Hm, not an expert on weather, but i guess snow means no sandstorms… and it also kind of exposes the ISIS fetish for black vehicles. So dear russians: hit’em hard!
btw. i have a question: can someone tell me more about those old american pickups in syrian service? what model are they? and in general, does SAA simply requisit pickups or buy them from private people? forced buy or normal buy? Just trying to deepen my knoweldge.
Those pickups were probably initially supplied to ISIS, FSA, etc by the Emuricans and later captured by the Syrian army. That’s my theory anyway.
