Germany has reportedly deplyoed operation forces in Northern Syria in order to assist the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces that has laid a siege on the strategic ISIS-controlled city of Manbij. According to different sources, German military units have arrived the Kurdish-controlled city of Kobani in the Aleppo province.
Reports look realistic amid a series of ground forces deployments by different Western states.
We remember, in 2015, 1,200-strong Bundeswehr task force’s deployment in Syria was approved by the German parliament. There were reports that the task forces might be reinforced by elite special forces, the KSK.
