Germany has frozen all major arms exports to Turkey, the country’s foreign minister Sigmar Gabriel said on Monday explaining that the decision was made due to the deteriorating human rights situation in the country and increasingly strained ties to its NATO ally.
“We have put on hold all big requests (for arms exports) that Turkey has sent to us, and these are really not a few,” the minister said during a panel discussion organized by German business daily Handelsblatt.
He added that Germany is obliged to send arms to a NATO ally, if requested. However, this is currently not possible.
On Tuesday, Turkey’s EU Affairs Minister, Omer Celic, responded to Germany’s decision.
“This decision will weaken Turkey’s fight against terrorism, and weakening the Turkish fight would mean making Europe’s future more vulnerable,” he said. “Germany must leave security issues out of political discussions.”
He added that “must formulate his comments seriously” saying that the supplied arms “are being used in the struggle against the PKK and ISIS.”
Relations between Ankara and Berlin have been deteorating since 2016 over a number of issues, including the ongoing migration crisis in the EU, human rights violations in Turkey and Ankara’s cooperation with Russia.

These are still coming in and Turkey plays less of a part in it now , as US Iraqi contractors continue to funnel arms and weapons to these groups there. The major players are Israel ,US,UK,France, and the KSA along with GCC partners who still remain known suppliers. They use UN to supply them through the UNHCR which has provided most of the current smuggled arms.
This is very hypocritical of them since they provide many foreign fighters to the PKK,YPG and Peshmerga in the form of volunteers most of these groups are Anarcho-Communist factions which will one day return home. These groups are using the tyrannical methods and are learning more efficient ways to become terrorists while being among the Kurds ,think of this as foreign exchange program. While Germany is sending it’s ultra-violent left wings to become more violent and condemning Turkey for actions it is already perpetrating , this proves they are a NATO Watchdog of the US.
This is very convenient what they are doing as they are pandering to the future terrorists that will destroy Germany and Frau Merkel , and trying to bring back Turkey to the fold while they design to destroy it as a nation. This is another country on the verge of destruction and a vote for Frau Merkel will hasten it quicker, until they can get rid of the shackles held by the US their fate will be doomed.
