According to the Hezbollah media wing in Syria, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) continued its advance north of the Homs-Palmyra road in the eastern Homs countryside where it had launched an attack from its positions east of Jabab Hamad and managed to capture Al-Alam Hill south of Taliaa al-Gharbia.
Meanwhile, the Russian Air Force carried out airstrikes on ISIS targets, destroying two ISIS combat units in the Jib al-Abyad area in the eastern Salamya countryside.
The ISIS-linked News Agency Amaq published photos of an attack by ISIS fighters on SAA positions in the vicinity of the Al-Musheirefah Hill in the eastern Homs countryside where two Syrian soldiers were killed.

Another video was published showing the previous ISIS attack on SAA positions in Wadi Al-Wa’r. The video showed the three Syrian soldiers captured by ISIS during its attack.
From its side, the SAA said that it had repelled the ISIS attack on its points west of the Hamima area in the province of Deir Ezzor. Furthermore the Hezbollah media wing in Syria said that the SAA killed 30 of ISIS fighters and injured more than 50 others during the clashes near Hamima. Sources from the SAA confirmed that SAA had not lost any point near the Syrian-Iraqi border.
According to local sources, government forces are going to resume the operation in the eastern Hama countryside within days. The SAA and its allies will attack Al-Aqerbar, one the most important ISIS strongholds in the area. The sources also said that Desert Hawks will participate in the operation again.
This is what happen, when you stop you advances for long time. Every army needs rest, rearm and regroup, but SAA has a pattern for advance little and stop for long time. Therefore, I am not surprised ISIS is attacking and making inflicting damage to SAA, and this will intensify.
The Ba’athists and the SAA don’t seem to be very effective to me.

Logistics! Think about it! Fuel, Water, Food, Medical aid and ammunition for every single vehicle! Even the trucks that transport the fuel, water, food, medical aid and ammunition need fuel, water, food, medical aid and ammunition! It really frustrates me when i see people complain about the speed of the SAA movements! They are defending sooo many fronts against soo many enemies who have intel leaked to them! There are no airports close or usable they can fly to. every inch of road they travel on is a risk so they need defenders for every convoy! The further the SAA advance from safe bases (there arnt any safe bases close to raqqa because transit routes are risky) then the more of a logistical nightmare this becomes! If u say “fuck logistics” then u will have massive casualties! Sit and think about it for a while! We are talking about many thousands of vehicles, maybe many 10’s of thousands of vehicles and also 10’s of thousands of soldiers! Its summer in the Syrian Desert! Each soldier will need to drink 5 to 10 litres of water per day if they are in battle conditions! Get out ur calculator and start adding up how much water that is! how many trucks it takes to deliver that water. What the trucks need to get there daily! What support trucks need to ensure the water gets there safely! And thats just water for EVERY DAY! We have not even talked about all the other items yet! So go ahead, i dare u to do ur math and then post it on this website in response! Every extra km they travel from their capitals is more fuel, more costs, more area to defend which require more man power, therefore more food, more water, more ammunition, more medical supplies and more risk of transport losses! Im not being a smart ass! Im just asking u to TRY and do this! But i know u wont and u know why i know u wont do this? Because to even think about it boggles the mind! I suggest researching the YPG and TEV-DEM, the actual history, how they have and haven’t cooperated with the U.S. The Kurds are the Palestinians of Turkey, Iran and Syria. Look at the history. The Kurds are some of the oldest indigenous peoples in that part of the world and have been the most oppressed. There is a third narrative going on that isn’t a simple imperialists carve up vs. Assad the resistance of imperialism.
Russia is for the legitimate government of Syria. Do not mix Kurdish problems brought on by themselves through their terrorist activity in Turkey in Syrian business. This has nothing to do with Syria. Kurds are not Palestinians. No one likes them because they act as fifth columnists and pretend to be oppressed. So long as they stop their separatist activities and integrate, they get treated like everybody else This “oppression” business got started in the 1970s, whipped up by the Israelis and funded by the Americans. The Ba’athists had to save themselves by gutting the subsidies to the Syrian population, because their cronyism ran the economy into the ground. So the US (and probably Mossad) were able to take advantage of that and help organize the Syrian uprising (and there was a real uprising). There was no more hope for the average Syrian, and once the last of the subsidies was gone – powder keg, and of course there were powers waiting and ready to run their own fuses to it.

What genocide have the Turks done to the Kurds? Kurds were the main people involved in killing Armenians. Saying “The Turks made us do it,” doesn’t wash. The Kurds were opportunists back then as they are now. While they were busy killing the Armenians, they robbed their homes of valuables and took their animals. SAA may be capturing land from ISIS but they are losing land to SDF. No net gain of land and actual loss of territory. ISIS are placeholders. While I agree with you that the Kurds , who have been taken over by the SDF , are just puppets of the US / Israel , they and SAA have both been fighting the Saudi Wahhabi jihadists , in the form of ISIS , or Al Nusra . The SDF make many false claims such as capturing Dalha and Al-Aukirishi weeks ago that was untrue it is in the hands of the Tiger forces and its tribal allies the Sons of Raqqa . The SDF are soon only going to be Kurdish troops without any Arabs among their YPG army.
