In the eastern Homs countryside, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) captured the southern Al-Musherfah quarry and started preparing a storm of the village of Rasm Hamidah.
Russian Aerospace Forces warplanes targeted several ISIS positions in the vicinity of Al-Talila camp in eastern Palmyra, and in the Shomriya mountains in the eastern Homs countryside.
Earlier, the SAA captured Talila entrance area east of Palmyra after violent clashes with ISIS militants. The SAA also shelled ISIS positions in the vicinity of Madkhal Talila and the Arak gas field with BM-30 Smerch heavy multiple rocket launchers prior to the advance.

The SAA continued reinforcing its force in Palmyra as the SAA is going to intensify its operations against ISIS in the desert area between Raqqa, Hama and Palmyra. This effort is aimed at expeling ISIS from this desert area, setting a foothold for a possible advance to break the siege of Deir Ezzor or even to reach the Iraqi border.
The ISIS-linked news agency Amaq published photos showing desperate ISIS attempts to hit a Russian fighter in the eastern Hama countryside.
