The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) Tiger Forces and pro-government tribal forces have got a fire control over the Ghanim Ali-Bishri Triangle in the southern Raqqah countryside following the liberation of as-Salam Alaykum village earlier today.
If government forces seize the Ghanim Ali-Bishri Triangle, they will get control over another important logistical point near the provincial border between Raqqah and Deir Ezzor.
They key problem of the government advance in the Raqqah countryside is that it dramatically extends the logsitical lines of the Tiger Forces and their allies operating in the area. Thus, they become vulnerable for raids and flank attacks of ISIS units deployed north of the Homs-Palmyra highway.
Nice going. Good to see SAA priority is clearing out right flank securing it from possible counterattacks.
They have the Sons of Raqqa tribals along with them and the areas where ISUS can attack are getting narrowed by other flanking moves. The overall plan is to outflank and cutoff ISUS into pockets and eliminate their supply lines and take them out piecemeal . The plan is to link up with forces waiting to Assault from the Deir Ez zoir pocket. The raids are more for moral boosting with phony numbers and are prone to much over inflation of numbers and can leave ISUS flatfooted in defending positions.
Thanks GOD. Please protect SAA and HEZBOLLAH. Kill all those USA sponsored genocide terrorist devil. For humanity and GOD sake. American and Israel evil scheme must be stopped.
But the Tiger forces already reached the Eupherates river in Deir Ezzor…
Yeah, all these different maps is getting a bit confusing! But hopefully ISUS is also in the dark about what is going on. GO TIGERS ! ( where ever they are :D )
Yes hopefully a clearer picture soon developes as the SAA acheives its objectives
For us civilians it’s hard to know what’s really going on – news blackout is just one of the difficulties. Air strikes of opportunity may be mistaken as a preparatory softening prior to an attack. Locals report or ISUS itself claim to be attacked on social media and that becomes “information” about the location of TFs, when it may not be accurate. Scouting parties may roam quite widely when they are looking for weak points, and although they represent “presence” when sighted they go as quickly as they come. Independently operating Special Forces units may have a presence (judging by the explosions) but they may be gone by the time the fireworks start. ISUS may report TFs being much further than they are to cover their own asses after they run for it. And then there is deliberate disinfo SAA puts about to confuse the enemy (and us) for operational reasons. It’s a difficult task but still fun to try to work out what’s really going on!
