Government forces have liberated 5 more border posts at the Syrian-Jordanian border from US-backed militant groups opearing in southeastern Syria, according to the Syrian Defense Ministry.
The ministry said in a statement that government troops took control of the border posts of 165, 166, 167, 168 and 169 as well as killed and wounded a number of militants.
The remaining US-backed forces reportedly withdrew in the northeastern direction, to the US-held garrison of At Tanf.
Can anyone inform me what is supposed to be a Syria border post?
A concrete pillar in the ground with a number on it? A pilliar deligning the borderline? Or a crossing or whatever? Just to be able to assess the significance of this impressive info for myself.

The practical significance of controlling any border of course is to prevent smuggling and illegal immigration etc. A lesson that the Zionist EU controllers have conveniently forgotten.
As a result of the Schengen zone there are no internal borders anymore within that zone. There is of course customs at the points of entry of the zone.
And like most important things in Europe, Bugger all works as it should. Millions of migrants have entered Europe , often without any documentation in recent years and still continue to do so.
Europe has at least a million soldiers and reserves that currently are chasing shadows of imaginary Russians.
Why have these military clowns not been used to close the EU borders to ILLEGAL immigrants and terrorists that hide amongst them ?
These are border points, like small forts or garrisons which Syria has alongside its border with other countries. Look here too: https://www.almasdarnews.com/article/syrian-army-allies-take-5-jordanian-border-forts-south-damascus/
thank you. Informative. In the Netherlands borderposts are just that. A pillar in the ground, a number and delineating the borderline. All our bordercrossings have been removed as in manned crossings with customs etc. Our only customsoffices are where people and goods first arrive from out of the Schengen zone as in airports, naval ports.
