Government Forces Liberated Mohassan Town And Nearby Villages Near Deir Ezzor City (Map)

Support SouthFront

Following the previous advances in the Deir Ezzor countryside, the Syrian Arab Army libearted the town of Mohassan and the nearby villages of Abu Al-Layl, Al-Abd and Abu Amr from ISIS on the western bank of the Euphrates. So, government troops secured the entire Euphrates bank between Deir Ezor and Mayadin.

Now, the SAA is focusing on combating ISIS in the industrial area and Saqr Island.

Experts also expect that government forces will soon launch a river crossing operation in order to reach the Omar oil fields located on the  eastern bank of the Euphrates east of Deir Ezzor city.

God bless and God speed superheroes … be wary of the yankee led coalition playing dirty

Now that Raqqa has been pacified, sdf will move all of its power to grabbing the oil fields. Add to the mix the dash militants allowed to flee Raqqa; I wonder whom they will attack? The way things are going sdf will take the whole eastern side of the river.

Joe Doe

Most likely the ISIS will be transfer to the packet North of Deir Ezzor and fight SAA.

SKY_PREDATOR

ofc

Bob

Not so fast – now it’s the SDF who have to cross a significant Euphrates River tributary to get to Omar Fields.

Joe Doe

Keep advancing while ISIS is retreading. Crossing the river in 2 points and cut off the SDF from Omar Oil

SKY_PREDATOR

Keep going SAA!

chris chuba

Does this mean that all of Mayadin has been secured by the SAA? In the map, it sure looks like the case.

Eagle123

SAA is moving with excellent pace which the US led block wont be happy with, especially when SAA owns upper hand in getting to Omar oil fields faster then SDF, i am very happy with the SAA advance and hope they liberate omar oil fields ASAP, but what worries me are air drops by Yankees in and around omar oil fields which would be very bad for Syrian government. I hope they get to omar oil fields sooner than SDF does.

Solomon Krupacek

unfortunately i so repeatedly this: how many weeks needed saa to move on west bank, so many days needed sdf to move on east bank.

PZIVJ
