Government Forces Repel Two Coordinated ISIS Attacks In Deir Ezzor Province

As it has been repeatedly repeated before ISIS units operating in the Homs-Deir Ezzor desert and along  the border with Iraq still pose a significant security threat.

On June 3, ISIS units crossed the Euphrates River from its eastern bank and attacked positions of the Syrian Army and its allies in the village of Hasrat. This attack was repelled by government forces.

Then, ISIS units attacked the villages of Jalaa and Saiyal from the desert area on the western bank of the Euphrates. However, this attack was also repelled by June 4.

In both cases, ISIS were able to capture some positions on the western bank of the Euphrates. Some sources even speculated that the terrorist group used this time to transfer some of their members from the encirclement in the area of Hajin, on the eastern bank, to the Homs desert.

The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have repeatedly declared an aim to capture Hajin and the nearby villages from ISIS. However, so far, this has  not been done.

Off the yanks saw nothing, plausible deniability. They use that phrase over and over Fuck of Al Tanf be liberated its sovereign Syrian land. Just a stalling tactic. Israel can have any wasters it wants visit the shithole Iran is Syria, both have a mutual defence pact like you and the fascist jews

Daula

Taking into consideration what had happened recently, regarding the victories of the Islamic State this song tells us the successful story of this struggle, from mobilization to victory. The lyrics starts with the praise of the Islamic State and claim that it lighted the universe with its arrival. Then it goes on to credit the Islamic State with the feat of erecting the religion, by applying the rules we saw in the land under their control. This is a good candidate for an official anthem. https://youtu.be/O7Av7hd8Hq8

Daesh rats that die in the sand – you call it victory? How does it feel doing Jihad in the name of Greater Israel? Ask yourself – why Israel was never attacked by daesh?

Daula

There are worse enemies than Israel, in the end Christians and Jews ale at least monotheist (or pretend to be) and even if prophet beheaded some of them they are not the biggest enemy.

John Whitehot

“There are worse enemies than Israel”

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL.

Pareggiamoiconti

in 5 months the SDF did not clear that tiny slice on th east of the river?

unless they were allowed to receive supplies, in 5 months they should have long starved to death…

as

There are no longer ISIL in the region. All of them were mercenaries paid by CIA.

gustavo

same as ISIS

Barba_Papa

The managed to take the Omar oilfields in record time, despite the bulk of the SDF forces being engaged still in Raqqa. An evacuation deal with ISIS was reached in no time just to shift those forces to Eastern Syria. Then the SAA beat the IDF to the punch by taking Al Bukamal and since then no news from the SDF front. Other then getting their butts raped in Afrin by the Turks of course. It just doesn’t seem to have any priority to the SDF. I can only reckon its because of the lack of oil and because it doesn’t straddle the Iranian supply line to Hezbollah.

FlorianGeyer

Food was no problem. ISIS ordered Kentucky Fried Chicken meals on their tablets and Deliveroo bought them straight to the ISIS bunkers :)

Ammunition etc was delivered by CiaAid at night.

Rob

I haven’t seen in my whole life so much brutality as much I saw in the last 18 years US, UK and Zionist Israeli migrants have done not only in Syria but in many countries in Middle East, Asia and Africa. They are enemies of our world humanity.

Rob

If Mr. Erdogan cooperate with regional countries and put a side their all own interests then in August, 2018 whole Syria can liberate from US, NATO forces and from their proxies Israel, ISIS, SDF, PKK etc. At the moment they receive supplies through Turkey. If Turkey stop their routes to PKK and to their masters then till August, 2018 there will be no more terrorists in Syria.

Mr. Erdogan should not insecure the whole region for F-35 junk fighters of which top speed is Mach 1.6. Instead of F-35 the SU-57 fighter jet is better of which top speed is Mach 2.8 “3000 Km per hour”, both fighter jets are stealthy.

You can call me Al

Something very strange here (for me)…. the last article was about an oil sharing agreement with the SDF and then this. I think I shall just continue bashing me head on the keyboard, until the Russians grow a pair and blow them out of the water..

gustavo

Haven’t you realized that SDF and ISIS have strong cooperation ?

John Whitehot

what kind of priority has, for the Syrian government, the elimination of the ISIS pocket in the desert south of Deir Ezzor? Because to me, it seems that the only purpose this pocket serves is for “ISIS” to be able to assault and close the road coming from the Iraqi border.

in the end, it’s been the minimum objective Israel and the US are trying to accomplish in Syria, to retain some ability to keep tabs (or attack) movements of personnel and equipment between Syria and Irak.

as

I think because they are planning to start another campaign in southern or SDF held part that already denied it’s rulings. Either way they can expand it’s border control this way.

FlorianGeyer

The purpose of the ISIS pocket is I suspect as a dumping ground for all of the ISIS who accepted surrender terms around Damascus.

Idlib is a dumping ground for Al Nusra et al.

It actually makes sense in the entangled context of this conflict to group all the terror scum in areas that are not so densely populated and to finish them off later.

Literally 150,000 + of POW’s would be a massive problem for the SAA and it would also allow the US to shout that ‘Innocent rebels are held in Auschwitz conditions ‘ :) and also as POW’s their release would have been soon after Syria is liberated.

Many of the indigenous Syrian rebels have now made their peace with the Syrian Government and a large proportion of the terrorists in Idlib and the Desert are foreigners and criminal murderers. I am sure that EU countries will welcome them back if they do not fight to the death :)

Londonistan and Manchestistan would soon be a tunnellers paradise with all the attendant arms and munitions small manufacturing workshops :)

Tudor Miron

Good point. “Welcome to the pocket” compaign.

Bob

Point taken. But it is a long way from Damascus – and that is where the sponsored militant pockets previously had the ability to threaten the Syrian state and its institutions. Those south western militant pockets both maintained the cycle of crisis and violence – and supplied a western public rationale for further foreign interventions – ie, the random shelling on residential districts and targeted car and suicide bombings of Syrian state offices and bureaucrats.

@Inc2Get

As the dude below me “FlorianGeyer” stated, I think the SAA chose not to clear the desert before Daraa because there is ISIS presence in Daraa and when the jihadi “rebels” are beaten there, ISIS will also negotiate to withdraw into the Desert.

Tudor Miron

There is a long term (yet flexible) plan proposed to Assad by Russian general stuff. That plan is based on available resources and takes into account big picture (bigger than Syria). That plan is being implemented in front of our eyes for a couple of years now. What I have learned while watching it anravel is that it helps to be patient.

Ed

Ha ha ha!! F#cking incredible!! These guys really don’t quit do they!!!

FlorianGeyer

You said that yesterday Ed. You should ask for todays narrative.

Serious

ISIS manage to cross the Eurphrate river while SAA couldn’t do it. XD. Then ,they start to attack SAA whith all the weapons they carried during the “crossing”. XD. And these so-called ISIS come from a tiny area that USA didn’t want to clear. And moreover, Russia have seen nothing !!!! XD.

What a joke. Please stop thinking we are stupid.

@Inc2Get

Yes, but keep in Mind that ISIS launched attacks from 2 fronts. One from the River and one from the western flank. That is why they were able to do that.

Serious

Yes. they can even coordinate attacks. XD. A joke.

gustavo

The only coordinator here is USA. So, do not tell me that you didn’t expect something like this. Of course, SDF and ISIS have strong COOPERATION since both were formed by USA-Israel-NATO.

Daula

May Allah support them, and grant them promised victory because there is no other God than him.

Rob

Israeli migrants day by day taking lands from Palestinians by moving their borders inside Palestinian territories and when Palestinians retaliate then Israeli migrants shoot and kill them. By these tricks UK have taken whole land from Columbians red Indians and build US.

Similarly they have used this trick in Saudi Arabia and Palestine and took whole land from Arabs and Palestinian nations. The Muslim clerics and leaders enjoying their leadership in their Muslim countries and are silent on slaughtering of Palestinians. Indirectly they are united with evils of this world.

Rob

Russia, Turkey and Jordan last week agreed to open Motorway route for trade and transportation between Amman, Damascus and Anqara.

Similarly the US and NATO cannot hold Syrian nation hostage for long by holding their Al-Tanf route that is why the Al-Tanf route will be opened soon for transport between Baghdad and Damascus. These routes unite the regional countries for regional security, economy, trade and national prosperity and development.

Bill Wilson

It would make more sense for ISIS to get their people out of the desert and living along the river.

Smaug

The reason a coordinated effort by ISIS to so long to materialize is undoubtedly due to communications difficulties and internal squabbling. … A suggestion about the maps, when you get down in detailed with certain battles it may be better to mark known positions and fortifications, because especially out in the desert there is no definable front line or no man’s land.

gustavo

Why is not creal to me is….why Syria-Hezbolah-Iran-Russia forces have not gotten rid of these Deir-Ezzor pockets, mainly that one south west to Euphrates river.
