Government Forces Secured Abu al-Duhur Town In Eastern Idlib (Map)

Support SouthFront

On January 29, the Syrian Arab Army and the Tiger Forces secured the entire town of Abu al-Duhur in eastern Idlib, according to pro-government sources. A part of the town had been controlled by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda).

Pro-government experts speculate that following the operation in Abu al-Duhur government forces will develop momentum in southern Aleppo in order to further tighten the siege on the militants in the province of Idlib.

Green Daesh’s power was broken in these battles. As Grey Daesh was mopped up in 2017, Green Daesh will be mopped up in 2018! :D

Rob

Erdogan openly invading Syria since 2011 through Al-Qaeda and Daesh. Now where is President Assad, President Putin and UN. UN is a drama through which aggressors and attackers attacks vulnerable nations. That is why the nations in the world are suffering.

Now the solution for SAA and allies is to use ATGMs if they wanna win but keep the ATGMs hidden under the tree branches or use the paper mask sheet to make it the same colour as the ground is. ———————————————————————————————————————————–

Good news. The ISIS pocket should be the next priority (to shorten the lines).

Joe Doe

SAA should have enough resources to clear the packet and advance in eastern Idlib province, before Turkey will take over. Before american’s took Putin for ride, now Erdoğan is taking Putin for ride and Erdoğan is stronger man than Putin. Therefore Syria should proceed with own plan and destination. Otherwise will be the same situation as with Americans, they will never leave Syria.Putin is too weak to secure independent Syria

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

Putin is in an election right now and he is trying to currently negotiate a settlement process and if the HNC showed up and were seen as incapable of controlling the “moderate rebels” the world would view them as only opportunists and frauds. More political brinkmanship goes on the many can comprehend and pay attention to.

Assad must stay (gr8rambino)

What’s the best way to devour this pocket? Attack it from all directions?

Tudor Miron

Dissecting it into smaller pockets.

Ishyrion Av

Theoretically yes. But you need bigger numbers in order to hold these smaller pockets and at some point you risk having the enemy in the back. Let’s not forget the area is 1000-2000 sqkm.

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

Less than 1500 reside in that pocket , leaving that area to large to defend for such a small force. They risk being overrun if they mount an attack as it is encircled and troops are on stand by in the region. Now waiting for the formation of the 4th Mechanized to be mobilized Brig. Gen. Yaroub Zahreddine is it’s leader and they will be stationed in Daraa.

Assad must stay (gr8rambino)

thats an option, but where should the first cuts begin?

gustavo

Kalibr missiles can do this job fast, if Russia wants to.

You can call me Al

But this pocket is not that large, I would just slowly and surely pluck them off and gain a few kilometres a day and a headcount of the dead vermin of 20 or so.

You can call me Al

Why not surrounding with snipers and a few howitzers and just take pot shots (just for now, until reinforces are freed up ?. Take out 20 a day and contain the vermin, take the nearest and move in, reducing their area…. it really cannot be that hard with the numbers of scum left.

Ono&Dsz

There is no difference between ISIS and Erdogan, both of them destroying remains of ancient civilization.. Ain Dara temple before and after attack: https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/f323b02fce8332111050f0dd02cd079704af3d18d32ec585ace8d5f7d29de9c2.jpg

Too sad… :((

gustavo

You are completely right. We have to have in mind that USA-Turkey work together to protect their terrorists in Syria. They pretend to be in disagreement, but that is a lie. It is disappointed to see Russia willing to be closer to a genocide people (Turkey).

Rob

Putin wants to help Syria more but the Israeli terror network the illegal European migrants wants to take whole Palestine and kill 6 million Palestinians. Therefore, Israel keep the Media busy in Syria, Yemen, Afghanistan etc. Therefore Assad should not take help directly from Putin but Assad can demand for more ATGMs, long range SAMs, Pantsir-S1 Air Defense Missile Gun Systems and 23mm guns which Syria should fix on pickups. Assad also needs more drones.

You can call me Al

I don’t think we can make that judgement at the moment, especially with the greed for territory by Turkey. Yes the FSA / HTS link with Turkey, but I am still in two minds how this is going to play out.

PS I do not trust the Turks at all, but I think there is something we don’t know yet (well, I hope so).

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

They need Ifrin for their Proxies as they are losing Idlib fast and are unable to hold it, soon more troops will be flooded into the area after the RR period is over. This war is no different than the WW2 you need RR before you burn out. Turkish Govt always has it’s own agenda, let’s hope more nations stop supplying them arms, watch Turkey be forced to use their own Tanks. The Leopards they have one slight modification and that is an air filter for the arid climate Dutch sold them old base model leopards.

gustavo

Clear this pocket fast and without mercy is priority number one, if SAA does not want to have a bad surplice later on. Kalibr and aerospace Russia force can help a lot to do this clear fast and with precision.

You can call me Al

I believe it is getting smaller by the day + of course, the overall size it is not as big as we think.

I am hoping that SF can add a few dimensions on there + an area.

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

Saraqib is the next objective and they are attacking from Southern Aleppo also, maybe ending up isolating Khan Sheikoun region.

Illegal European migrants (Israel) vs brave Palestinian children.

The Zionist terror network headquarter (Israel) each year violently persecute thousands of civilians in Palestine. Israel Each year Hundreds of villages and towns first evacuate by gunpoints and then demolish it and instead new buildings they erect. Each year Israel kidnap thousands of adults and kids from the streets and then smuggle them to different groups in Middle East for terror activities. On these hostilities of Israel the innocent civilians become angry in which they loose their mind that how to get ride of these illegal European migrants from their land.

Peaceful protests with flags, banners and placards is the legal right of all civilians. Anger eat wise. Anger is the sign of failure and frustration. Palestinian youths should not react with stones and knives but remain calm. Indeed soon Palestine will be freed. For a strong nation Education, unity, journalism, justice and a strong young qualified, English spoken leader, is very important. ————————————————————————————————————————————
