The Syrian army and the National Defense Forces (NDF) have been developing momentum in the Eastern Ghouta region near the Syrian capital, Damascus. The pro-government forces have taken control of the Signal Militaryh Base near the militant-controlled village of Rayhan.
If Rayhan is liberated by the Syrian army and the NDF, a militant grouping in Tel Kurdi will become encircled and will likely surrender in the nearest future. This will set a ground for an advance on Duma, a major militant stronghold in the Eastern Ghouta region.
