Government Mi-35 Combat Helicopter Shot Down Over Tigray Region (Video)

Screen grab from the Tigray Intercept video.

On April 20, the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) announced that it had shot down a combat helicopter of the Ethiopian Air Force (ETAF) in the northern Ethiopian region of Tigray.

The helicopter crashed in the vicinity of the town of Abiy Addi in the center of Tigray, where a fierce battle between the TPLF and government forces has been ongoing for more than five months now.

The Tigray Intercept released a video showing the wreckage of the downed helicopter, which was identified as a Mi-35. At least 18 Mi-24\35 combat helicopters are known to be in service with the ETAF.

Ethiopian government forces have been battling the TPLF and other local forces in Tigray since November. 40% of the region is still in the hands of the TPLF.

The M-35 is the second confirmed loss of an aircraft over Tigray since the outbreak of the war there. On November 29, a Mig-23 fighter jet of the ETAF was shot down by the TPLF.

According to the International Crisis Group, the war in Tigray has claimed the lives of thousands, so far. Moreover, two million people were displaced. Human rights violations were reportedly committed by both sides.

Another African country that thanks to China was beginning to develop, so the Westerners have managed to install their man at the presidency and the split of the country is immediately starting, this is exactly the colonial model that Westerners apply to Africa from half a millennium. Never believe in anyone who tells that the West is a civilized place, this is just one of the many evidences that show the barbarian and greedy reality of the predator who comes from the north.

U.S., UK, France, Italy. Are the main culprits. In that order…

When a big country gets more advanced, they cant handle things in tribe mode anymore. Fx they have to have tools to divide the oil money to all.

We too often see how corruption and nepotisme makws few very rich and the rest are in the ususa level.

Tribes are not good most places in the world. If You want to help poor people, Ypu have to pay their Leaders and hardly anything reach the poor.

If You say You wont, the Leaders dont care about their own tribers as well.

Systems like them are very visible with monopoly political parties such as for the Baathists inspired by Comunisme and KGB in Russia and tribes by DNA.

So thats where the culprits are. I admit those by You mentioned countries not always are nice people too, but that onl can be controlled and kept down by good Governess for all.

A single tribe should not run the whole place anymore. Thats what the uprisers will return to.

The tail looks very thin for a Mi-35. Looks more like a Mi-17. Just sayin.

With US supplied SAMs.

It’s a habit they picked up from the days of the Soviets in Afghanistan, when the USA sent weapons to AQ. Russia will one day accept that’s the way Western democracies work, and sell their SAMs to enemies of the West. If Russia could ever lower itself to the standards of the Nazis running the West.
