The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies have liberated the villages of Abu Liyah, Abu Qa’tur and Jub Habl from ISIS in the eastern Hama countryisde, the Syrian Defense Ministry said in a statement on September 8.
Following the liberation of Uqayribat town in the center of the eastern Hama pocket, the SAA and its allies have continued their efforts aimed at clearing the entire ISIS-held pocket from the terrorists. However, the terrorist group still has a notable number of ISIS units in the area that can pose a resistance to the advancing government forces.
Slowly but surely.
It is good to see the pocket being sized down. Better a slow and constant advance, than a unnecessary fast advance with many losses. Daesh in this pocket is far from any support and done anyway, as such no real need to hurry, beside being aware that Al-Qaeda (HTS) might cause trouble again.
ISIS terrorists on these pockets know they are death, if they don’t…..they will find out.
Israel has probably hysteria right now.
We need more Black Helicopters to Transport OUT our Investment, oy vey
Lol
I said this in my comments two days ago, that the situation in eastern Hama is not simple at all and can last longer than hoped. I have great source of information out there and situation is not rosy at all. Eastern Hama boasts of a great deal of underground tunnels that the battle may turn out to be another Jobar and surroundings. Yes it may be cleared eventually but not as people had hoped. Expect more deaths from this operation.
