On December 10, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and the National Defense Forces (NDF) liberated the villages of Zafaria, Tell Boulus, Umm Turaykiyah, Rujm al-Ahmar, Shutayb, Mushayrifah and al-Hawiyah in the northern Hama countryside, according to the Syrian Army media department. Thus, the SAA is now deployed in the outskirts of the strategic town of Abu Dali located in the southern Idlib countryside.
The pro-Syrian government blog al-Masdar News said that the Tiger Forces will soon launch its attack from Khanasir town towards the Abu Duhur Airbase in the southwestern Aleppo countryside.
Syrian pro-government activists confirmed that General Suheil al-Hassan had arrived Khanasir to oversee the upcoming attack.

Meanwhile, Syrian opposition activists reported that over 190 airstrikes and 1,800 artillery shells targeted the positions of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) in the northern Hama countryside and southwestern Aleppo countryside in the last 24 hours.

From it side, the HTS-linked news agency Iba’a claimed that HTS fighters repelled an attack of the SAA on their positions in the village of Hajar southwest of Khanasir. According to Iba’a, HTS fighters captured a vehicle armed with a 14.5mm gun from the SAA while repelling the attack.
Iba’a also said that HTS fighters repelled another attack of the SAA on the village of al-Shakusiyah in the northeastern Hama countryside. 8 soldiers of the SAA were killed by HTS during the clashes around al-Shakusiyah, according to Iba’a.
The HTS defense lines in the northern Hama countryside and southwestern Aleppo countryside will be under a stiff pressure in the upcoming days as the SAA is deploying more fresh units to boost its ongoing attack there.
