The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies liberated a large area from ISIS in the eastern countryside of Hama, north of the Homs-Palmyra highway, during the last week.
Government forces liberated Qulayb ath-Thawr, Abu Hanaya, Abu Jurays, Al-Shandakhiya Shamaliya, Janubiya, Al’Amudiya, Nabatiya, Umm Tin Al-Mu’allaq, Abu Tababir, Khalid Hilal, Umm Rajm and Rasm Sawwan.
On Monday, government troops continued their operation against ISIS aiming to clear the entire ISIS-held pocket.
Judging by that map it looks like they’ve finally managed to secure some defensive terrain in depth in case of another Al-Qaida offensive from Idlib to come to the aid of their ISIS brethren. And they now have other roads they can use to supply Aleppo then the old precarious Road of Life.

The belas oil field should be the priority.
They have more than enough on the fronts the SAA are pushing the along the Border with the Iraqi Army and their PMU forces towards Abu kamal and Al Qaem which make those oilfields easier to secure. Priority is securing the banks on both sides from DE city to the Border and the Oilfields can be secured in that push.
