Government Troops Secured Qasabiyah In Northwestern Hama (Map Update)

Support SouthFront

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and the Tiger Forces have secured the village of Qasabiyah, located north of the town of Kafr Budah in northwestern Hama.

Units of the SAA and the Tiger Forces entered Qasabiyah on June 3 after a series of clashes with Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda) and Turkish-backed militant groups. This development became the first advance in the area since the establishment of a temporary ceasefire in the area last week.

At the same time, artillery and air strikes were reported in Hammam, Barabu,  Talk Sakhar, Khan Sheikhun, Kafr Zitah, Hobit and Lataminah.

Hmmm, how long before the M5 is so badly outflanked on both sides that cutting it will be a formality….?

Barba_Papa

At the current rate of progress, at least a full year? This is not an insult towards the SAA, I’d rather have slow and steady then fast and shoddy, but its not exactly a blitzkrieg we’re seeing here.

Sukhoi

They’re only concentrating on 1 front at a time. It’s either Al-Ghab plains near sheg magahr. Or its Kafr Nabudeh area in north hama. Or Kabani front. They should test out launching offensives simultaneously from two or three fronts… just to see if jihadi defenses will collapse or if they put up resistance. chances are if they do this, they overwhelm jihadi fsa torks and gain alot of ground. but then they’d have to secure their gains because of possible counterattacks. but this means rebels need to counterattack on two or three fronts instead of one… stretching their lines thin

Barba_Papa

They are trying two fronts at the same time. Al-Ghab plains, where they are enjoying slow progress, and Kabani in Latakia, where they are enjoying less success then General Melchet, who at least managed to capture a single square meter from the Germans.

I reckon these two fronts are driven by the Russians, who are fed up with Jihadi drone and rocket attacks coming in from these two areas. Which is why I will be very surprised if more attacks were to come in different areas.

Attrition47

Using attrition tactics might conserve Syrian infantry by making the US head -chopping, heart-eating, raters and slavers come out into the open to counter-attack. September 1917 all over again.

Attrition47

Blitzkrieg is much overrated. The only one of the 2nd WW (Barbarossa) was a failure.

David Parker

On the contrary, Barbarossa was a huge success. The Wehrmacht overcame the Soviet 3-1 advantage and artillery advantage and tank advantage and held for three years. The badly depleted German resources against the unlimited Russian resources was a miracle of military success. Also, for your information, Stalin had been massing troops and supplies along the Polish and German borders to attack Germany. Hitler was screwed no matter what he did, Stalin decided to attack Germany while Germany was tied down on the western front. I was very surprised too but don’t forget the winners write the history books and the Zionists who own the media and publishing industry control what people believe. http://www.solonin.org/en/article_mark-solonin-june-1941-final

Attrition47

Barbarossa was supposed to destroy the Red Army and be a catalyst for the collapse of the Soviet regime in three months. Oops.

David Parker

You skipped your homework. The point is that Stalin was massing the Red Army to attack Hitler and Hitler barely beat him to the punch. Also, the first shots of WWII were fired by the British. Also, the British and French were contemplating bombing the Baku oil field to deny Stalin selling oil to Germany. The start of WWII saved them attacking the USSR first although the bombers were already positioned. The winners write their own fiction and call it history.

Attrition47

Myth, the Germans began to prepare Barbarossa on 22 June 1940, the first shots were fired by the SS at the Gleiwitz radio station to simulate a Polish attack. The British did have Operation Pike; like the Munich Agreement this was against the USSR as much as Nazi Germany. The survivors write history and you could see what Germans make of it by looking at Germany and the Second World War: Volume IV: The Attack on the Soviet Union by Horst Boog, Jürgen Förster, et

David Parker

Read the article numbskull: I have heard the official propaganda about Operation Barbarossa all my life. The point official archivist Solonin makes is that from official Soviet wartime records, Stalin was preparing to attack Germany. Not that you can sort anything out on your own, but the fact that Stalin had already massed the Red Army on the border separating Soviet and German territory would mean something to anyone who can think.

“First task set in the plan “Barbarossa” («Major Russian land forces deployed in the Western Russia must be destroyed in bold operations by way of deep rapid advance of tank spearheads. The retreat of battle-capable enemy forces into the wide expanses of the Russian territory must be prevented…») ”

You miss the wood for the trees, try reading around the subject and mind your manners while you do it, crypto-nazi.

David Parker

I haven’t “missed the wood for the trees” as you say without any substantiation. The point is Stalin planned to attack Hitler in a matter of weeks after June 22, 1941. You “try reading around the subject and mind your manners while you do it”. I provided a very reliable source and agree with his conclusion that historical records of the Red Army general staff and politbureau establish beyond any doubt that Stalin had almost completed mobilizing to attack Hitler when Hitler attacked the Soviet Union. You should at least put in a fraction of one percent of the work Solonin before you again expose your ignorance on the subject, but fools rush in where wise men fear to tread. I am not a “crypto-nazi”. I have nothing but contempt for socialists including national socialists and all who are deluded into the illusion that totalitarian government can every be good. I am a Christian and therefore espouse the institution of God’d Kingdom on earth which maximizes personal freedom.

Attrition47

Stop moaning and start reading, your ignorance is embarrassing.

David Parker

The moans come from you as do the vacuous replies.

Attrition47

Sore loser

David Parker

I always win.

Attrition47

…Not

David Parker

Very nearly did so. Unfortunately the end result was to motivate the Russian people to fight for Mother Russia and temporarily forget their hatred of Stalin.

Attrition47

The haters of Stalin seemed few and far between, most being Baltic and Ukrainian nazis. Plus ca change.

Barba_Papa

It worked magnificently in France. To the amazement of the Germans themselves. They never expected it to be over in 6 weeks. So the German generals figured it would work again in Russia. Defeat and encircle the Red Army along the border, drive to Moscow, profit! To their horror however the Red Army kept on spawning new units, even after encirclement after encirclement. And by the time the Panzers were near Moscow they were out of fuel. Hitler knew this would happen. He wasn’t interested in Moscow, he wanted to go to the Caucasus oil fields because he knew oil was Germany’s achilles heel. Say what you want about the racist fuck, he at least had a better understanding of Germany’s strategic situation then all of his generals. Too bad for him after the war they all pinned the blame on him.

Attrition47

Fall Gelb was a desperate escape forward with no expectation of the results obtained. It was mainly caused by the faulty French strategy and the insubordination of Guderian et al. not a strategy of Blitzkrieg. German economic preparations were for items like heavy artillery ammunition for siege warfare, not lighter natures for vehicle-born automatic weapons. The Allies were defeated but Germany failed to break out of the economic blockade, which condemned Germany to increasing dependence on the USSR and eventual defeat by the westenders. Barbarossa was an attempt to gain the resources of the USSR by plunder rather than trade to prepare for the anticipated British-US air war. Oops.

jorge

Today they are advancing in the other direction, the left, envolving the turkish o.p.

Yes, you wouldn’t want to create a salient for them to turn the tables.

jorge

Two turquish posts already in danger of being isolated on takfiri zones that probably will be surrounded by the SAA.

David Parker

Daesch supply depots.

You can call me Al

How did you do that, take a portion of the Syria.livemap….is it a screenshot ?.

jorge

The map it’s from South Front-

You can call me Al

Oh sorry. But thanks.

Lupus

I m affraid that could take somewhile but once the pocket is created then the whole chunk will be liberated. Turkistan OP included. That would be a major step!

David Parker

I would like to see Ergogan’s pawn take a fall. They know they are on the wrong side of the border and they are there expressly for the purpose of taking over Syria itself.

Sukhoi

torki inbreds running like scared donkies hahaha

David Parker

I wish Southfront would indicate the Syrian government area in green and the terrorist held areas in red as in blood red. Same in the US, the damn democrats seized blue as their color when it should be socialist red for them.

You can call me Al

I must admit that “Same in the US, the damn democrats seized blue as their colour when it should be socialist red for them.” confuses me all the time, especially coming from the UK, where Conservatives are blue, Labour in red.

Redadmiral

Many US citizens do not have a clue when it comes to political theory. The Democratic Party is NOT a Socialist Party, it is Not even a Social Democratic Party. It might best be described as a Right Wing Capitalist Party with some socially minded programmes, ie., better health care for those who can’t afford it. Likewise in Education and labour laws. Whereas the Republicans only want more taxpayers money to be spent on giving tax breaks to millionaires and billionaires and fuck those who can’t afford healthcare. Both are Parties of the Capitalist Class and you do Not belong tto that Class and neither will your children or their children. You are a fukin disposable Pleb like all of us here. So wake the fuck-up…

goingbrokes

Couldn’t have said it better! ;)

neil barron

Now I know for sure that there is more idiots per a column inch here than anywhere else on the planet. The so called Democrap party has been a Communist Party for over 250 years, and the Republican Party is not a political party in the sense of politics as it is a economic party. All the communist Socialist parties are nothing but a Political party trying to take money from people that have earned it and piss it away on stupidity. Your drivel of an excuse is a good example of thievery.

Redadmiral

Neil, your drivel is as baron as your name + an “n” of course. lol

David Parker

“Right wing” is meaningless. Socialist or collectivist = government ownership of property. Government = group of demons who call themselves government and successfully rob productive people of property. The “democrat party” in America is dedicated to the destruction of the Christian civilization – the Protestant work ethic and observation of God’s law in society that made America great.

Assad must stay (gr8rambino)

awesome job SAA! secure tal sakher, and victory WILL! BE! YOURS!!!
