Syrian government forces, backed up by Russian warplanes, have repelled an ISIS attack on the Deir Ezzor airport from the direction of Jufreh.
Members of the terrorist group attempted to put an additional pressure on government troops in the airport amid reports that the Syrian army was able to restore some kind of supply line to the area.
Meanwhile, terrorist attacked army positions from east of Wadi An Nishan. But this attack was also foiled by Syrian army units.
According to pro-government sources, some 14 ISIS members were killed in the fighting.
