The Syrian army’s Tiger Forces, the Desert Hawks Brigade and Hezbollah have successfully repelled a fiercest attack by the al-Nusra-led militant alliance, Jaish al-Fatah, in western Aleppo.
The government forces have kept frontline save in the 1070 Apartment Project, the 3000 Apartment Project, the al-Assad Neighborhood and in the New Aleppo. Some firefights are still ongoing in the Minyan area.
Both sides have suffered some casualties and Jaish al-Fatah used at least 2 car bombs in an attepmt to break the government forces’ defenses. Pro-militant sources report that the ‘opposition’ has destroyed some 4 units of military equipment belonging to the army. There is also information that at least 1 infantry fighting vehicle and 1 battle tank belonging to Jaish al-Fatah have been destroyed.
Meanwhile, 12 civilians have been reported killed and up to 200 wounded as result of ‘moderate’ shelling of the government-controlled areas of western Aleppo.
Ahrar al-Sham militants were attempting to enter the 3000 Apartment Project through the al-Assad Neighborhood during the start of November 3 advance:
