Early on September 24, militants stationed in the northwestern Syrian region of Greater Idlib shelled the government-held town of Jurin in northwestern Hama with heavy improvised rocket-assisted munitions (IRAMs).

According to the Syrian Arab News Agency, the IRAMs landed in the vicinity of Jurin, causing serious material damage to a number of civilian houses. No human losses were reported, however.

Opposition sources revealed that the strike was carried out by the al-Fateh al-Mubeen Operations Room. The room, that includes Turkish-backed factions, is led by al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham.

A large military camp of the Syrian Arab Army, where Russian forces are known to be present, is located near Jurin. The camp was the target of the failed attack.

In the last few weeks, Greater Idlib militants stepped up their attacks in a blatant violation of the March 5 agreement. A day earlier, a series of artillery strikes on southern Idlib claimed the lives of three Syrian service members.

These repeated violations may force government forces to resume their ground operations in Greater Idlib in the future. The Russian Aerospace Forces have already resumed their aerial operations.

Keep bombing Idlib ! When population leaves, the rats will be forced to follow them and abandon country that is emptied out of it’s population.
