The Turkish Armed Forces have developed heavy artillery right on the frontline with the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in the northwestern Syrian region of Greater Idlib, RusVesna.SU reported on June 11.
Aerial footage shared by the Russian outlet show several T-155 Fırtına self-propelled 155 mm howitzers on a frontline in southern Greater Idlib. Syrian opposition activists revealed that the artillery were deployed in the town of Qarqor in northwestern Hama.
Earlier this week, the Turkish artillery pounded government-held towns and villages in southern Idlib and northwestern Hama in response to a series of Russian and Syrian strikes. Three commanders of al-Qaeda’s Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, the de-facto ruler of Greater Idlib, were killed in the strikes along with six other militants.
The SAA responded to the shelling by targeting a Turkish post in southern Idlib and two vehicles in northwestern Hama.
The army’s response didn’t stop there. On June 12, the Syrian artillery shelled a Turkish posts in the town of Marzaf in southern Idlib. Direct hits were reported.

The recent military developments in Greater Idlib affirmed Turkey’s commitment to the region’s militants, including HTS and other terrorist groups. Ankara’s hostile behavior is jeopardizing the ceasefire agreement, which was brokered last year with Russia’s help.
So, it seams Turkey has entered the war proper, a d not through proxies. If so, the March 5 ceasefire has worsened the situation
What do you expect from Putin who lost Ukraine for some cookies?
Please don’t comment when you’re drunk.
If they can video the armour they can bomb the crap out of it.
They have a plan… The chess master always has a plan.
Syria needs a couple of Russian TOS heavy flamethrowers for these Turkish ‘observation’ posts.
And then an ‘accidental live-fire incident’ directed at TAF posts.
