A new crisis is reportedly building between Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and Horas al-Din, two of the biggest al-Qaeda-affiliated groups in Greater Idlib.
The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported on September 29 that a “cold war” between the two terrorist groups began when HTS’ security force arrested three Jihadists of Horas al-Din for unknown reasons.
Horas al-Din, one of the biggest al-Qaeda’s branches in Syria nowadays, saw the arrest of its militants as a violation of a partnership agreement with HTS.
The agreement, reached last February, describes the relations between the two groups and provides a mechanism to de-escalate any conflict between them. HTS also promised to support Horas al-Din under the agreement.
A unnamed commander in Horas al-Din warned HTS of violating the agreement, holding the group’s radical cleric Mazhar al-Wais responsible for the escalation.
“We hold everyone who seeks an escalation between the two groups the consequences of this escalation at this difficult time,” the commander said in a short statement.
Horas al-Din was founded last year by a group of prominent terrorists who defected from HTS. The group grew from few hundreds militants to more than 3,000 within a year.
The tension between HTS and Horas al-Din could escalate further in the upcoming few days. HTS takes advantage of such escalations to neutralize its competitors in Greater Idlib. Earlier this year, the terrorist group neutralized the Nour al-Din al-Zenki Movement following a similar disagreement.
The truth is that the Americunt arseholes and their Turkeys have recruited the worst scum terrorists on the planet. These illiterate degenerate headchopping cowards are dead-enders and operate outside the realm of humanity. The only real option is to kill them all, the sooner the better. They are now squeezed into small terrorist pocket and that offers the best opportunity for Russian Federation airpower to test new weaponry and incinerate these motherfuckers once and for all, if not their Americunt masters will relocate them for further terrorism.
Horas al-Din probably is more adept at raising operating revenue and refuses to share any with HTS.
This had to happen sooner or later. The snake is beginning to eat itself now that there are no innocent Syrian civilians to feed off and push around.
This coincides with cautious sugestions that SDF might want to reconcile with the few remaining secular groups in Idlib. Sleeper cells of SDF, mainly Jayish al Thuwwar, originating partly from Idlib, would join. US airforce would then provide aircover.
Seems a bit improbable to me. But who knows, it happened also early 2016.
With their exit to Turkey cut, It would help them resist a little longer. To remove their mask, the SDF would have to drop the ‘Syrian’ and the ‘democratic’ pretense from their title, which whittles them down to just another terrorist force. There is an alternative result, and that is to allow the US/nato to move their terrorists friends from Idlib to Afghanistan where they are needed apparently.
The SAA has been waiting a long time to get their hands on these murdering bastards. What is left is the worst of the worse and will likley cause trouble where ever they go.
