Haftar's Forces Pushed Back As GNA Circles On Al-Wattia

Click to see full-size image

On April 14th, the Libyan National Oil Corporation (NOC) released its information bulleting, in which it claims that since January 17th the country has lost $4 billion from blocked oil exports.

The blockade is attributed to Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar’s Libyan National Army (LNA) which has repeatedly rebuked claims saying that the citizens themselves decided to block it, in order to pressure the Government of National Accord into surrendering Tripoli.

Total oil production inside Libya is down to 80,510 barrels per day, as of April 13th, 2020. Before the blockade it produced up to 1,2 million barrels per day, so it is a massive reduction.

On the ground, after GNA forces captured the entire coast west of Tripoli, they began carrying out airstrikes on Al-Wattia, which is under LNA control.

A deadline was given for the peaceful surrender of Al-Wattia, and after the deadline passed, the GNA’s Turkish-backed forces began its offensive.

A similar deadline was given for Sabratha, Sorman, Al-Ajilat, Al-Jameel, Rikdalin and Zalatan, all of them were captured after the deadline was disregarded by LNA.

“Tarhuna Liberation Forces: The deadline for the peaceful handover of al-Watiya base has expired, and the army forces are preparing to advance and open fire from the main gate.”

GNA, but likely Turkish UAV footage, showed shelling of LNA targets by using precision munition south of Tripoli.

The municipal guards in the Zlatan region were detained by the GNA, they were presumably on the side of the LNA.

An LNA-affiliated account also shared a video of the situation.

In addition, the same source alleged that the GNA forces were carrying out looting in the “liberate” city of Sabratha.

An LNA airstrike completely destroyed a GNA convoy of 14 cars, according to reports, but there’s no evidence of it, whatsoever.

Footage was also released of a GNA Mirage F-1, presumably downed by a Russian-made Pantsir S-1, used by the LNA. However, it would appear that the footage is dated. The debris are more than likely old, and were filmed during night time to hide that.

Zionism = EVIL

Russia, Turkey and Italy are supporting the GNA and the Turks have moved HAWK batteries near the front lines so the dumbass Egyptians and UAE arseholes have zero hope. The Chadian mercenaries are proving as useless as the Sudanese Nubian cunts were in Yemen. Haftar would be lucky to not have his head chopped off.

Assad must stay

I hope haftar wins, he seems the lesser of two evils but why is Italy supporting GNA?

Zionism = EVIL

OIL my friend. The Italians were the first ones to push for a NATO attack on Libya and overthrow of Kaddafi. The Turkeys and Italians, like their mafia have made a deal to rip off Libyan OIL. My view is that there are no good guys in Libya. Haftar is treacherous and backstabbed Kaddafi. The GNA is a Euro pimp puppet regime and now being manipulated by Turkeys and Italians. The Jews and Americunts are fanning the conflict from the sidelines. A F-1 Mirage has just been shot down and both sides are claiming that. The Libyan airforce used to have Mirage F1, so who knows as Kaddafi had bought 36 F-1, but they could not operate them and had to bring in the Pakistanis. Now it looks like Egypt has got its hands on a few of them and are flying them without any national markings.

Assad must stay

what happened to Gaddafi’s son? I wish he were the new leader

Zionism = EVIL

Saif ul Islam Kaddafi is pretty marginalized and does not have any armed men. The problem with Kaddafi like all dictators was that he overestimated the loyalty of the military and like Saddam it collapsed. I think Libyan conflict is permanent now and Egypt needs to up its game or the Turkeys will get entrenched.

JIMI JAMES

cheep oil to brussels

The Objective

No, he isn’t. you dont understand because you are blinded by hatred for Turkey/Erdogan

Assad must stay

can u blame me? the guy either doesnt understand or respect sovereignty

Assad must stay

Russia needs to send more help to haftar

Zionism = EVIL

The problem in Libya is also tribal and the Senoussi coastal berber tribes support the GNA and Haftar is not that popular.

Assad must stay

Why?

Zionism = EVIL

Contrary to Jew and western propaganda, Kaddafi even though a bit quirky had done a lot for Libya, under the senile king Idris Libya was an Brit and Americunt colony with the largest Wheelus airbase, south of Tripoli which the Turkeys are using now. The Berbers under Idris suffered a lot of discrimination, but Kaddafi was pretty fair. Haftar is associated with backstabbing Kaddafi and being a western agent, the other GNA guys are not any better.

khalkha

Russia have to protect syria from israeli air strikes or get out

Zionism = EVIL

100% truth. Russia, or Putin to be more precise is a Zionist arselicker and is also undermining Russian military. The SAA with Russian airpower backing were really whupping the Turkeys, but Putin signed another “ceasefire” and now the Turkeys are creating permanent bases on the ground in Idlib and a 30-40 kms wide border strip and that amounts to over 38,000 kms of Syria’s best lands.

Ooga Booga

You’re delusional. You expect Russia to go to war with Turkey and Israel over Syria? They’re not stupid. Use common sense.

JIMI JAMES

Call any martial artist that,he would put you right in your place faster than blink! you need to get off soros feminist hormone pills,and use your head instead!

The Objective

If Assad were to agree to a cease-fire, an interim government, followed by the return of refugees and a nationwide election supervised the UN. even America will leave Syria. As long as Assad continues to insist on Unifying Syria by force, I truly can’t see an end to this war. Turkey is acting in defense of a large population of Syrians who don’t want Assad. These Syrians actually solicited for help from Turkey. While most of you on this forum will not be happy to learn such truth, it doesn’t mean those who are aware shouldn’t inform others. I am presenting these claims not as propaganda, but as food for thought for visitors on this website to take a more balanced approach towards understand the war in Syria. Assad is right in some cases, but he certainly isn’t the dove most of you would want to believe. Turkey has no economic interest by occupying parts of Syria. In fact, it is a burden on the Turkish economy. If Turkey were to pull out of Syria, it will amount to a betrayal of the Majority Syrian Sunnis who look up to Turkey for protection and a check against the Alawite regime of Bashar Al-Assad. Turkey does not want Syria to break-up. If Syria breaks-up, there will certainly be a Kurdistan. All of us here knows that Turkey will never allow a Kurdistan state close to its borders. I hope you will look at this war more objectively. What Turkey is doing is to pressure Assad into a political settlement that stabilize Syria once more.

Assad must stay

agree

JIMI JAMES

Weren’t for russia there be no assad,toughen the fk up,like cia? no you can’t!

Assad must stay

Agree but Russian needs to do this as well should have done it long time ago

The Objective

Israel’s war is not with Syria – at least theoretically. They claim to be bombing Iranian military targets. If they start going after Syrian soldiers, Russia will intervene and Israel planes will start dropping from the skies. Iran and Russia disagree on some issues in Syria. they only agree on protecting the Assad regime and unifying Syria. On most other issues, they don’t totally agree.

khalkha

But Russia if she can’t stop repeated israel’s attacks what does it mean ?

The Objective

It means those attacks have little to no strategic value for Israel. The air strikes achieve little. It is just an Israel PR stunt. They have been bombing Syria for years. What results have Israel got to show for it. Israel also knows its limits. Should those strikes threaten the existence of the Assad regime, Russia will certainly react.

Ooga Booga

Syria has chosen to be at war with Israel which is why Russia of course will not get involved. Syria could sign a peace deal with Israel whenever they wanted and stop the attacks.

khalkha

Never deal with occupation could be reached

Ooga Booga

Ukraine is trying the same tactic regarding Chrimea and it’s not working out too well.

khalkha

Two things very differents

JIMI JAMES

Russia never betrays their allie,save it for the kweer bar,iran is run by the deep state!

The Objective

You are a sucker. How can you even think of Russia leaving Syria? Assad would be dead in weeks if that were to happen. The situation in Syria is complex. My biggest hope is for Russia and Turkey to cooperate and bring an end to the war. They are the two most important countries who can end the Syrian nightmare. I really feel bad for the Syrian masses. May God be with them.

khalkha

Control your speach a little bit, i dont care about assad if he must leave , Syria is my concern .I think also the agreement with turkey it’s a very good thing

The Objective

I am sorry. That was a slip on my part. No hard feelings.

JIMI JAMES

Russia has to also manage the worlds greatest nation,there is complexitys yet you obviously don’t understand of historic russian method retreat,create vacum before finish them all off? Generally the facists were too dumb,either way,lna lives on to fight another day,time will tell!

The Objective

Haftar is a stubborn son-of-a-bitch. He humiliated Putin in Moscow when he pulled out of a Putin-brokered negotiation with Turkey at the last minute. He actually traveled to Moscow for the talks, then he sneaked out back to Libya without meeting the opposition. Since then, I noticed a softening of Russia’s support for him. No. Russia isn’t going to save his ass.

The Objective

Good progress by Turkey, and good job by Erdogan. For those who hate Turkey on this forum, Erdogan’s popularity just increased by 14% this month. Haftar will learn the lesson he deserve, God willing. There is no toppling GNA at least for the foreseeable future. I like Erdogan because when he says he will do something, he does it.

Porc Halal

How can someone not hate a cold blood criminal like erdoggy dogg?!…Sorry to disappoint you…Your cheap islamist propaganda works only for stupid people

The Objective

Good progress
