On Thursday, military commander of the Hai’at Tahrir al-Sham terrorist coalition, Abu Jaber Hashem Al-Sheikh, announced a start of a “new battle” against the government army in the north-west of Syria. According to the Al Mayadeen TV-channel, he delivered a video message, in which he called to “mobilize all resources” to conduct the campaign.

It was the first time, when Al-Sheikh appeared in video, since the Jabhat Fateh al-Sham (previously known as the al-Nusra Front) terrorist group united under its aegis all radical formations in Idlib province. According to Al Mayadeen, the Hai’at Tahrir al-Sham coalition includes terrorists from Nour al-Din al-Zenki, Jaysh al-Sunna, Jabhat Ansar al-Din and Liwa al-Haqq, which opposed the cease-fire.

All of them accused armed opposition groups, which took part in the negotiations in Astana on January 23-24, of “treason,” and managed to capture military bases of the so-called Free Syrian Army (FSA), located to the west of the city of Aleppo, as well as to surround their former allies, terrorists of Ahrar al-Sham, to the south of Idlib and in the mountainous area of Jebel az-Zawiya on the border with Turkey.

In his statement, the leader of Hai’at Tahrir al-Sham announced his intention to “liberate the entire territory of Syria and inflict a crushing defeat to the troops.”

“We are starting to implement the plan to intensify military actions against the regime of [Syrian President] Bashar al-Assad and will attack army’s positions and barracks,” he warned.

Syrian military experts believe that establishment of the Hai’at Tahrir al-Sham coalition is the third transformation of the al-Nusra Front, which is regarded to be a Syrian branch of Al-Qaeda since 2013. In July of the last year, its leader Abu Mohammad al-Julani changed the former name, the al-Nusra Front, on Jabhat Fateh al-Sham and announced separation from Al-Qaeda.

Drop a very big bomb on them, that will solve many problems.

I wish they’d stop changing names all the time, makes it hard to keep track of them. Just kill them all anyway, regardless of their branding.
