The al-Qassman Brigade, the military wing of the Hamas Movement, released on October 12 and 13 three videos showing some of its recent operations against the Israeli Defense Forces in the Gaza Strip.
The first video shows the moment Hamas fighters blew up a booby-trapped tunnel hatch as Israeli military engineers and heavy vehicles were working to close it. The attack took place in the al-Rayyan area which is located to the east of the city of Rafah in southern Gaza.
Another video shows a mortar attack that targeted a large gathering of the IDF to the east of Jabalya camp in the northern part of the Strip.
In the third and last video, Hamas fighters are seen preparing and launching a Oqab loitering munition against an Israeli reconnaissance group to the east of the city of Khan Youns in southern Gaza. The drone scored a direct hit.
The IDF admitted losing four troops in Gaza over the past weeks. Many more were reportedly wounded in the Strip, some seriously.
So far, the IDF has lost 354 troops in ground operations against Hamas and other Palestinian armed factions in Gaza and along its border. More than 2,200 others have been reportedly wounded. In addition, over 500 vehicles were hit in the Strip, according to Hebrew media.
Meanwhile on the Palestinian side, the death toll from the Israeli war has exceeded 42,000, with women and children making up most of the casualties.
Despite taking more losses and failing to achieve any of its main objectives, the IDF appears to be planning to further expand its ground operations in Gaza, especially in the northern part of the Strip.
