Hamas Reveals Israeli Hostages Were Killed In Recent Israeli Rescue Operation In Gaza

A number of Israeli hostages were killed during the June 8 Israeli special operation in the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip that resulted in freeing four hostages, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas Movement, announced a few hours after the end of the operation.

In a statement, the group’s spokesman Abu Obaida denounced the operation as “a complex war crime,” saying that “the first to be harmed by it” were Israeli hostages.

“The operation will pose a great danger to the enemy’s prisoners and will have a negative impact on their conditions and lives,” the spokesman said in a post on the X social network, formerly known as Twitter.

At least 210 Palestinians were killed and more than 400 others were wounded during the Israeli special operation, which included a series of heavy airstrikes on Nuseirat.

Four Israeli hostages, Noa Argamani, 26, Almog Meir Jan, 21, Andrey Kozlov, 27 and Shlomi Ziv, 40, were freed during the operation, which was initially codenamed “Seeds of Summer”. The codename of the special operation was later changed to “Operation Arnon” after Arnon Zamora, an Israeli officer from the police elite Yamam unit who was fatally wounded while taking part in the operation.

Yamam and another unit from the Shin Bet security agency led the operation with fire support from the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF).

Palestinian media reported that Israeli special forces entered Nuseirat in an aid truck and a civilian vehicle then evacuated the freed hostages through the area where United States troops were recently deployed to construct a floating pier for aid delivery.

Israel acknowledged the death of a large number of Palestinian civilians during the operation, but blamed Hamas for the massacre.

While the bloody operation in Nuseirat was seen as a success by the Israeli government, it didn’t bring the issue of Israeli hostages taken to Gaza during the October 7 Hamas-led surprise attack any closer to an end.

Following the operation, 116 of the 251 hostages remain in Gaza, not all of them alive. A weeklong ceasefire in late November saw 105 civilians released from the group’s captivity and four hostages were released before that.

In all, seven hostages have been freed by troops alive, and the bodies of 19 hostages have also been recovered, including three mistakenly killed by Israeli fire.

The IDF has confirmed the deaths of 41 of those still held by Hamas, citing new intelligence and findings obtained by troops operating in Gaza. One more woman has been listed as missing since the attack of October 7, and her fate is still unknown.

hamas has displayed incompetence by allowing hostages to be released! and not only that but in the process of releasing them the zionists killed over a hundred civilians just to punish palestinians for existing!

another glorious zionist success. 4 recovered in 8 months, at that rate the rest being recovered within about 20 years, some dead from old age.

and since they killed about 70 palestinian for each free hostage in this raid, it would have only resulted in 8400 dead palestinians over 20 years instead of 36000 in 8 months. and most likely a higher proportion of hamas fighters. not to mention iof casualties in those 8 unsufferable months.

“the operation, which was initially codenamed “seeds of summer”
