A large offensive launched by militants of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and the Islamic Turkistani Party, the US-backed Free Idlib Army against Syrian Army positions in Kinsabba, Ard Al-Wati, and Shillif Castle in northern Latakia on Thursday resulted in no gains for “opposition” forces.
Loyalists successfully defended all their positions from HTS-led forces while the Russian Air Force bombed militant headquarters and mobilization points in the province of Idlib.
Notably, no attacks were reported by either HTS or the Turkistani Party on any Latakia axis after yesterday’s failed attempt to advance against government forces. We recall militants llost over 49 fighters on the Kabani front.
The Syrian Army continues to reinforce its defenses expecting a renewed jihadist assault in the coming days as they receive more equipment.
