Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) had arrested a senior commander of al-Qaeda-affiliated Horas al-Din because he had refused to leave to Libya, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported on July 29.
According to the London-based monitoring group, the commander, Fadel al-Libi, was arrested along with five foreign terrorists by HTS’ security forces.
HTS reportedly wanted al-Libi, a citizen of Libyan, to go back to Libya and fight for the Government of National Accord. Turkey made the decision on his return.
“They refused to leave Syria and go to Libya despite Turkish orders on this,” the SOHR’s report reads.
Turkey has been deploying Syrian militants in Libya since last year. Many unverified reports claim that Ankara also sends foreign Jihadists.
Al-Libi is the commander of Horas al-Din’s Coastal Army, which consists of 300 soldiers and is based in the northern countryside of Lattakia. The commander arrived in Syria to support the rebels in 2013, according to the SOHR.
Last week, HTS arrested Abu Yahya al-Jazaery, another senior foreign commander of Horas al-Din, after accusing him of “corruption” and “theft.”
HTS is slowly eliminating Horas al-Din’s remnants in Greater Idlib. A confrontation between the two sides broke out last month. As a result, Horas al-Din lost most of its influence and assets in the Syrian region.

Terrorist organization in Syria is arresting leader of another terrorist organization in Syria – for refusing to fight for Turkey interests in Libya.. But still there are people that will deny that Turkey, USA and Israel are controlling those terrorists groups DIRECTLY!

HTS didn’t arrest him because he refused to go to Syria, they don’t give a monkeys whether he goes or not, they just want him out of their territory. The Turks protect HTS territory against SAA attacks with their military equipment, but HTS assassinates, arrests, and openly fights with the Turkish backed proxies at every opportunity, so what’s Turkey getting out of all of this, not much at the moment. :]
