On October 10, Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda) claimed that its members have destroyed a battle tank during the clashes with their coutnerparts from ISIS.
According to local sources, an intense fighting between the two terrorist groups are now mainly ongoing in the area of al-Rahajan, Jakusiyah and in an area east of Abu Kanf.
If the destruction of the battle tank is confirmed by photos or videos, this will confirm that ISIS has much more capable force in the area that it had been expected.
On October 9, a group of ISIS members sneaked into northern Hama from the ISIS-held pocket east of Salamiyah and attacked Hayat Tahrir al-Sham positions there. ISIS seized a large number of villages prior the al-Qaeda linked moderate opposition group was able to launch a counter-attack.
A more useless fight I have hardly seen.
Let them just destroy eachother without bothering the rest of the world.
This news is so fake and untrue and only meant for Al-Qaida’s HTS to be removed from the terrorist list. It must be emphasized that back in 5015 HTS and ISIS forged an alliance and till the present they co-ordinate their battle plans. There is no adversity between any of the US/Zionist/HTS/ISIS/FSA/SDF anti Assad terror coalition. None at all. They are all one with one objective, to place Syria once again under US/Zionist colonial domination and its people under US/Zionist slavery.
How did ISIS sneak tanks into the area???
* Also, You know it’s going to be a weird day when you find yourself mostly agreeing with a thread by @Malcolmite.
**But, I don’t feel sorry at all for Turkey arming & training thousands of jihadis; now being dragged into the Syria War Quagmire.
*** Especially since Turks have now attacked/alienated all their allies & neighbors.
Here’s hoping the Turks have fun with their new Russian & Iranian playmates. Good Luck!
Aided by SAA no doubt. Imo clear proof of collusion between SAA and IS. At one place fighting, and in another place cooperating or, rather, turn a blind eye.
You might be right. I find it highly suspicious that 1,000 ISIS jihadis could sneak past SAA.
Over 4000 sneaked past the US two weeks ago and they have the best intelligence in the world. Or so they say anyway :)
And this is different from the SDF, which let ISIS troops leave Manbij, and is currently negotiating with ISIS in Raqqa to do the same? Seems to be standard modus operandi for all sides in this war. I’d say be glad the SAA sent them towards Al Qaida and not the Kurds.
They attacked the 2 SAA checkpoints in 3 groups the 2 smaller ones engaged the SAA and the larger one went by them.
Maybe they captured it from HTS? HTS always brags about how many tanks and equipment they captured from the SAA. ;)
