Al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) is reportedly moving its most valuable weapons and ammunition to warehouses located near the border with Turkey.
On October 5, oppositions activists released a video showing a pick-up truck of the terrorist group moving dozens of Grad 122 mm rockets from the southern Idlib countryside to the Bab al-Hawa crossing on Turkey’s border.
In the last few months, HTS and its radical allies launched dozens of Grad rockets at the Russian Hmeimim airbase and civilian areas in northern Hama.
By moving such valuable weapons to the border with Turkey, HTS likely believe that they will be save from Syrian and Russian airstrikes.
Earlier this week, the Daily Sabah reported that Turkey is fortifying its border with Syria’s Idlib. Despite this, Ankara is yet to do anything about terrorist positions located only meters away from its territory.
This should hardly come as a surprise, the Turkeys want a 30-40 kms wide zone for their headchopper terrorists. Unless all of Syria is cleansed of the Turkeys and their terrorists, the Syrian conflict will never end. Time for Russia to take off the gloves and work with SAA, Iranians, Hezbollah and other allies in finishing off the terrorist scum in Syria.
