Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, al-Qaeda’s former branch in Syria, has ramped up its recruitment campaigns throughout Greater Idlib.
Enab Baladi, a pro-opposition news outlet, said that the terrorist group is now working to recruit new militants into the ranks of its units, mainly the Army of Abu Bakr Siddiq, the Army of Omar ibn al-Khattab, the Army of Othman bin Affan and the Army of Ali bin Abi Talib.
“The said armies are considered special forces, which HTS rely on in the special operations it carries out against the positions of the Syrian regime around Idlib,” a report by the outlet reads.
HTS’ so-called Salvation Government is also involved in the recruitment efforts. On September 5, the government held a conference titled “Jahid Binafsik” [meaning fight with yourself], calling on the youth to join the terrorist group.
Hundreds of HTS’ commanders and fighters were reportedly killed or injured in northern Hama and southern Idlib over the last four months.
These recruitment campaigns don’t only highlight the heavy losses HTS suffered from during the recent battles with the Syrian Arab Army (SAA), but also confirm that the terrorist group is not planning to dissolve itself as some recent reports have claimed.

The Turks are using the “observation bases” in government controlled Idlib towns to resupply the terrorists and evacuate HTS casualties.Idlib is the last Syrian province still in terrorist hands. The Turkeys are in desperation phase now.
I think you’re forgetting those other Turkish backed terrorist reservations, like the ones in Afrin and northen Aleppo province. Idlib is just the one where Al Qaida is calling the shots.

SAA and Russia aerospace force must continue with the OFFENSIVE at Idlib, and to stop doing “intelligente” ceasefires. The main two highways in Idlib must be controlled totally by SAA.

There is no other choice as Americunts and Turkeys will keep on fanning terrorism otherwise. Every inch of Syria has to be liberated.
Normally there is a 4 to one ratio wounded vs killed. Given the number of over a thousand killed, expect some 4.000 wounded. That would mean some 3 to 5k out of action, given a certain number will be recovered in weeks.
Let us hope not that many will be recruited. It will only enlargevthe numbers killed and wounded at both sides.

Good question – as not much of a future in it – but question is, are they forcibly conscripting young Syrians under their territorial control with threats of violence against families etc. These militants are notoriously nasty people, and well known for systematic criminal behavior – kidnapping and ransoming anyone and everyone in the areas they occupy.

I haven’t read anything about it yet but I’m smart enough to know what they’re really doing, and it’s not recruiting, it’s called something else. HTS fighters are now stationed on all the highways heading north to Turkey, they’re stopping all the refugees fleeing north into Turkey and turning them back when they catch them, but I’ll bet while they’re doing that they’re also conscripting heaps of the fleeing refugees at the same time, like I said I haven’t read anything about it yet but I’m pretty sure I will be. And if you’re thinking this is just HTS procuring human shields for protection you’re only half right, it’s also Erdogan’s way of deflecting blame from himself, he’s either ordered or encouraged HTS to do this, because if he didn’t do it he’d have to start shooting those refugees himself, he already has too many stacked up on his border as it is.
